Lake Corpus Christi State Park Campground

Great camping area. Pull through camping pads. Clean sites fire ring grill combos. Nice lake clean restrooms. Small town is really close if you need something. T-Mobile phone signal was good, and I had TV reception.

Only $25 for full hookups, $15 for just water and electric, $10 for tents, $5 day fee. Lots of shade, lots of room in the FCU sites. Water is really low so no boat access, still beaches though. Surprisingly nice place.

Well maintained and laid out facility with lots to see and do!

Very small Pull through sites (with very sharp turns). No good hiking trails. Seems great for boating or fishing, though. Good location for visiting Corpus.

Clean campground, was very windy right off the lake in spot 063. But quick access to the beach and fishing were nice. Picnic table was gross with bird droppings all over it and the concrete pad. Bathrooms were hit or miss. Men’s was clean and usable, women’s was ok but got worse throughout the day and evening and unusable (toilets were clogged) by the evening.

Very nice and clean park. Quiet and beautiful. Walking trails well maintained.

My family and I camp here every year at the least. We enjoy the RV sites, the fishing pier and swimming. Park is always kept nice

We stayed here for Christmas and it was very relaxing think I had the best sleep in a while pads are level and spots are nice covered tables

State park offers a lot of space. Full hookup sites available. Mosquitos were brutal, so take lots of mosquito repellent. We loved that you can rent kayaks and paddle boards for the lake and you can even buy firewood there.

Early spring 21 just went and had a blast. Fairly packed now that the state opened up fully. Over all though that time was perfect weather for kayaking and hiking the short trails that this park has. Tent camping is great and the spots are well payed out with plenty of space between them. Shower and bathroom facilities are in decent shape and do the job. Was impressed for havi g never heard of it prior to arrival. Online reservations available to make it easier.

While the lake is beautiful,the park feels neglected. Our campsite #64 in the catfish cove campground was awful, not sure when they had last mowed, there were stickers/cockle burrs everywhere. We spent time pulling as many of those and high grass as we could,but still got them all in our shoes and socks. The shelter over the picnic table had many bird nests and the picnic table was nasty. The bathrooms were ok, the shower curtains had mold/mildew. We hiked the catfish point trail which had not been maintained. We went through the online process to rent a kayak, had some problems which were easily resolved.

We enjoyed our one night at Corpus Christi State Park.  As with other state parks, it's a bargain, especially with the State Parks Pass.  We had a nice pull through site with a  view of the lake and the marina.  The covered picnic table was nice and we were able to use the grill to make a great dinner.  The sunset was spectacular. We would return to this quiet and beautiful setting anytime.

The sites were very large, the lake is beautiful and it’s about 40 miles to the ocean.

Serene clean place! We stayed few nights and had a blast. It was fun to go together with friends but it wasn’t crowded in summer. Staff were great. Bathroom clean and stocked despite being busy. Fun to check out beach and fly kites as it’s really windy. Make sure to bring sunscreen and hats, plenty of drinks.

We camped with 2 kids and a dog and had a great time. There was fishing and a lake some were swimming in. We searched for wildlife and made s’mores. It was a good time!

Stayed in a cabin out here and although it was very busy, it still felt like you had a bit of privacy

Not too much hiking here, but you can also walk the roads. Beautiful CCC building. Saw turtles near it in the lake. The campground has a good view of the water and is near the fishing pier. Would camp again as an alternative to the beach.

Lake Corpus Christie is a beautiful place where you can camp and enjoy water activities but if you enjoy hiking this is not the place. Unfortunately, it lacks hiking trails. There are plenty of spacious campsites next to the water where you can enjoy laying in a hammock, campfires, and grilling but lacks privacy. Catfish Cove offers water only sites but other areas offer water electricity, full hook-up sites, or enclosed shelters with AC. While we enjoyed camping here there is an over abundance of stickers that we had to continually pull out of the dogs paws.

This is a place usually only locals go to since it's not near enough to the major cities. It's clean and basic. The lake is sometimes completely dry, but when there is water, it is quite expansive. It's secluded due to being a large lake.
