Welcome to Bella Hampton Farm Foundation, where our journey began with a simple dream of nurturing animals and cultivating wholesome produce for our community. What started as a humble farm dedicated to raising animals for food and eggs has evolved into a profound commitment to the well-being of animals in need. Witnessing the heartbreaking neglect and abuse suffered by countless creatures, we've transitioned into a non-profit farm with a dual purpose: caring for unwanted and mistreated animals while continuing to grow nutritious food to sustain our furry and feathered friends. Join us on this compassionate mission, where every bite and every rescue make a world of difference.

        Fort Parker State Park Campground

        November Road Trip

We took a two day break here from driving cross country. What a beautiful park. We had a site right on the lake. Mid 70s in the day and mid 50s at night. Amazing sunsets.

Awesome long term spot. Has a concrete RV pad that you can park your camper on or park beside it and use the very long pad as your patio, which is what we did. Management very responsive to needs and any questions you may have. This spot is on a very quiet area with minimal boat traffic. We had one camper behind us and they were super quiet. Super nice. Laundry at the office for reasonable price to use the washers and dryers.

        Cedar Grove RV Campground

        Awful

Beware!!!! The new owners of this park are rude, unkind, selfish, greedy people. They allow drugs to run in and out of the park they leave the supposedly secure gate open all night long so anyone can come in. They don't take care of the park and everything is run down. They change the prices when ever it suits them don't believe the online prices. It's a shame that someone who was kind and generous had to pass just so people who never had to work or earn anything gets control over it and doesn't have any care in taking care of what was suppose to be a gift. It's just sad to see what the park is and has become from what it could have been and is now gonna be.

        Shiloh on the Lake

Canopy of trees and right on the lake

This is a great, non-- parking lot style campground. Every site is covered with trees, and though they are a bit close together you feel connected with nature. Two restaurants within walking distance. Shaved ice within walking distance. Kayaks available. There’s a nice designated swimming area in the lake, and a fishing pier. The hosts are very accommodating.

        Waxahachie Creek Park

        Close to Nature

I wish I could rate this campground higher because it was so peaceful with quite a bit of bushy vegetation to provide a small measure of privacy between sites. This is as close to nature as one can get in a campground!  There was poison ivy on the trees next to us and in the mowed ground around the campsite.  There were so many butterflies, flies, and other flying insects on the sunny side of our RV that it made entering and exiting through the sliding door very difficult. And, the ANTS! After one night in our site, the ants had formed an active trail to the top of our RV. Consequently, we had ants inside the RV!

The roads inside the campground need to be repaved.

The camp host and the park ranger were both very friendly and informative.

        Beautiful in Spring

I thought the wildflowers were the greatest feature, and then we caught sight of an angelic band of pelicans just overhead on a migratory flight - a very moving sight I will never forget.

        Dodge City RV Park

        Good spot for camping

Been there last year during out trip to Texas( mainly hiking in Britton park and a few other local trail spots and camped at Dodge City RV park)

Pros: good clean spots for camping, everything you might need is pretty close
Didn't try RV spots, but those looked really nice too.

        Cons: Didn't find any.

If you gonna be visiting TX during June-July for trailing and camping - my advice is: make sure to get a pair of comfy shoes(my go-to are Brooks men's running shoes like those https://rununited.com/mens-footwear/) - trails are pretty rough and it's extremely hot and humid near bodies of water... Gotta dry your shoes every few hours

Cedar Ridge Mobile Home & RV Park

Solid option if you're near Dallas

Stayed there during our trip to Texas, after visiting Big Bend. Overall, pretty good spot for RVing.

Couldn't find any photos, probably is on the camera I've left at my folks house during the trip.

Pros: easy to find, quick booking, good view.

        Cons: can't remember any.

Also a semi-pro is that it's located pretty close to a bunch of outdoor sports stores( https://gritroutdoors.com/ is the one we've visited most I think) so if you forgot something on your trip - it's pretty easy to pick up.

        Cedar Hill State Park Campground

Pretty sunset right on the water

We got a primitive campsite right on the water and we’re able to fish a little bit once we arrived. We got there after 5 but there is a kiosk where you can check in and grab a map to find your site easily. The park is pretty big and there was a nice fire pit and picnic table we could use. It was still really hot during the time of year we went, but other than that it was nice.

        Nice State Park

Nice state Park. We stayed here 3 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the park has been around awhile it is maintained well. Our site had plenty of room to the next site, had a covered picnic table, fire ring, and lantern hanger. Water pressure was 50 psi, sewer hookup was close, but electrical box was in the front and most modern RV's electrical connection in the back (30 foot cable just reached). The park is close (2.5 miles) to Cedar Hill where you can find shopping, dining, fuel, etc. Would stay here again.

        Pecan Point Park Campground

Bad would give it 0 stars

This campgrounds doesn't enforce rules.  Like burn ban people next to us had a fire.  Its 100 plus degrees and we haven't had rain in this area.  Also had a german shepard dog running around free.   They told is he wasn't aggressive but he came over to our campsite 3 times.  Followed our kids down to the water.  Owner didn't care and thought it was funny.  They had 4 trucks parked on the grass area.  At least 6 adults and 8-10 kids running around.  Kids would come over to our campsite to pee.  Just because your outside doesn't mean you can do or act anyway.  We were fishing and kids would drive the jet ski over our lines in the water.  No adults said anything.  Plenty of space for everyone but the kept coming as close as they could to us.    Park Ranger didn't fine them for the fire in which they started up as soon as he left.  Park did nothing to make this a safe and happy place to relax.  We left early to avoid any further issues with them drinking heavily it was just going to get worse as they got drunker.

This park looks good with only 5 electric and water hook ups but don't be fooled.  They don't enforce any basic rules.  Bathrooms even though we have a camper were so gross I would want to go in for 1 second.
