COE Bardwell Lake Mott Park

The Army Corps of Engineers operates this lakeside campground on the shores of Bardwell Lake, roughly two miles from the town of Bardwell. Sites accommodate RVs up to 140 feet with electric and water hookups, plus a dump station for convenience. The campground operates seasonally from April through September, with rates ranging from $5 to $80 per night depending on site selection and amenities.

Campers consistently praise the facility's cleanliness and direct water access. Multiple sites offer lake views, though some have slanted parking areas that may require leveling blocks. Site 29 provides shade and panoramic lake vistas, while site 4 offers waterfront positioning. Dude R. calls it "a fantastic campground for lake activities" and notes the well-maintained grounds during his visit.

The campground supports both fishing and swimming activities, with boat launches providing water access for various watercraft. Restroom facilities include showers, though campers suggest bringing cleaning supplies as a precaution. Some visitors note that Leave No Trace principles aren't always followed by other guests, so pack extra trash bags. For additional camping options in the region, explore campsites near Bardwell.

Campers regularly cited spacious lakefront sites with beautiful views and well-maintained facilities at an excellent $14 nightly rate. Some visitors reported slanted sites, but most found the clean amenities and affordable pricing impressive.

I appreciate this location.

Made my reservation on line just a few spots were available. Spot 04 with a water view space is slanted. They had the parking pass ready to pick up so it was not necessary to speak with anyone. The view, electricity, water, and showers was very nice at such an affordable price. Take your cleaning supplies into the bathroom as a precaution, I did not see trash can in the bathrooms. Leave No Trace is not really practiced by other campers so feel free to pick up after someone else this space is beautiful and deserves respect. I enjoyed the rain and the view it was very relaxing and I appreciated a shower as well as powering all my extras before heading on the road to Minnesota. $14 for the space very appreciate.

Great Boaters Park!

Mott park is a fantastic campground for lake activities! At the time of my visit the facilities were clean. The park was well cared for and the sites were all pretty good. It has has been a couple of years since my visit but I am sure that Mott park is just as nice as it was on my last visit. I have videos of my visit on my YouTube...DudeRV.com

Beautiful lake View Campground in Ennis, TX

Another great Army Corps of Engineers Park. It is a bit neglected but still pretty awesome with its spacious sites and gorgeous views of Bardwell Lake. Our site #29 was nice and shady and panoramic view of lake. We have a class a so never checked restrooms. I base my review rating on the beauty of the view.
