This KOA is in a really convenient location near downtown Nashville! They have tons of amenities (shower, hot tub, pool, etc) so it’s not exactly backcountry camping if that’s more your thing. But they have a shuttle for $10 that runs round trip every hour to downtown Nashville, which is a must have if you want to save money on Ubers!

Used to be a KOA park turned independent. The campground is introducing "Glamping sites" along with their cabin rentals and RV sites. The manager and staff have been great with accommodations. The campground is family-oriented, quiet at night, and offers activities on the weekends and holidays. Though stated in Goodlettsville, it is in Millersville proper. For restaurants and grocery runs, take I-65 South to exit 97. Of course, you have the Nashville scene, but check out Mansker’s Station for some rich history of true pioneer spirit. Opryland and Downtown Nashville are about 20 minutes away, respectively.
GuideThe campground has a variety of sites from deluxe paved pull through with patios to back-in full hookups to tent sites. We stayed in the back-in sites side of the campground. The sites were close together(but not on-top of each other) and many were long enough to handle most average sized rigs. These sites were gravel with grass between, which was well maintained. 50& 30 amp service available. Very flat with minimal leveling needed. The wifi was spotty when the campground was full on the weekends.
The bathhouses have individual shower access with separate toilet facilities. These were clean and well maintained. The entire campground was very well maintained and landscaped beautifully, which created a welcoming feeling.
There are numerous amenities: pool, hot tub, playground, pickle ball, corn hole, etc. Live music is offered at the pool area a couple nights a week in addition to movies. The camp store is small, with limited selection, but it is attached to a nice size indoor rec room and restaurant/snack bar. A Camping World Store is also right next door to the campground, which is very convenient.
A shuttle service is offered daily from 10:00AM-1:30AM between the KOA and downtown Nashville at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The cost is$10 round trip per person. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any issues and questions. We enjoyed our stay and found the price($68) reasonable for the great location and amenities offered.

This was our first official campsite. We were here from December to March. Reservations were easy to make. Check-in was a breeze. The ladies at the front desk are super kind. The maintenance people were caring and considerate.
There is a laundry area and a bathhouse. There were 2 smaller washers and one big washer. The big washer didn't work while we were there, which would have been more convenient. There were 2 regular dryers and one large gas dryer, which was amazing and could dry everything in 20 minutes.
The bathhouse is warm and roomy. There were only 2 stalls and 2 showers, but the showers had enough space that you weren't getting dressed in the same space.
There is a pool and a hot tub, but since we were there in the winter months, we didn't use those. Next to that, they had a big chess game, which my kids were able to play on warmer days.
There is a small little park area that my kids were able to enjoy during the warmer days.
The lots themselves are all the same size, except the pull through lot. There is enough space between neighbors to have a small yard with the fire pit. There is a nice picnic table on each site.
We had a nice view of the water to wake up to. The docks were accessible. The beach was accessible.
We had family come and stay in one of the glampers, and it was clean and maintained. We really enjoyed visiting them there.
We talked to a lot of other campers, and they ranged from weekly to long-term stays. So we were able to get more information about that, too.
They have free wifi, but we didn't use it much since we have our own.
Definitely recommend staying here!

We went to a wedding here in the lodge, it was the most beautiful wedding we’ve ever been to, the historic stonework is amazing. The park has a pool and some cabins, it’s a lovely park and perfect for families. The cabins were much cleaner than we expected and easy to get to with our older relatives. Loved it!!

GuideWe rented a cabin for the older kids, and the wife and I stayed in our RV. Both the cabin and campsite were clean and the staff was nice. Pool area is clean. Even though this campsite is just off the highway, it is still pretty quiet. They have a shuttle to take you down town, but you have to call and let them know you want to go. $10.00 per person which is reasonable. Lots to do in Nashville!

Pool is great size and beautiful lawn chairs and pool toys to use. Gravel sites well maintained. Lots of trees. Beautiful eating area, restaurant. Shuttle service available for a fee.
TravelerOverall the sites were nice, but our site wasn’t exactly level. We were just spending one night and arrived late. In the morning our looped cleared out early. I assume they put the one-nighters all together in loop D. The pool was not opened, in fact it was empty. And the cable TV service was removed. The WiFi worked.

GuideThis was a nice KOA, but some sites were small with all sites having very small fire pits made from only old tire wheels. This KOA has a pool, fishing, putt putt, dump station, general store, cabins, a little run down restroom/bath houses, kids play scape, large chess board, and a dog park. This KOA was about 20 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park and the National Corvette Museum. Both are worth the trip to.
RangerLovely park with somewhat unique cedar glades and tons of rare plant life. If you can snag a serious gardener or botanist to visit with you you’re in for a treat. Trails are easy, lots of wildlife, lots of cedars. Lots of horses on site too. And weddings in the lodge all summer. Modern state park setup, clean and well cared for with some extra activities. Tent sites were more private and woody. Cabins seemed popular given what neighbors said. Very nice state park, would return.

One of the coolest deals is the local winery deals while staying there. They have a laundry center, store, new playground, pool, dog play area (Kamp K9), checkers, ladderball, and shuffleboard. Restrooms are available, ice and firewood for sale.
Cellular signals were good for AT&T and TMobile, we were able to work and stream.
Fun events and dinner/music festivals every weekend April-October! They have long-term rates for $600/month.
ScoutUgh, I hate to write bad reviews...but this was, to us, such a bad experience, from what I call deceptive pricing, to location within camp, no signage/direction locators, crowding, safety issues, and more. 1) Our"delux" cabin was located/surrounded in a row filled with BIG RVs. 2) There was no signage/location indicators at the dark row corners or roads within park. It is even hard to identify what are actually road at night so finding it at night amongst the HUGH RVs was horrific! 3) There was no sidewalks or places to walk except on the one lane roads...this is unsafe for kids, especially if you have to go out at night. 4) The"Deluxe" cabin is small, but tha bathtub is REALLY small. More of a small kids tub. 5) Air conditioner is across from foot of bed. The grid on the front of ours was broken, so the air came straight at us on bed, made the bed sheets feel moist and uncomfortable to sleep on. 6) Sun shines in from window above tub into room blinding you, we had to stuff a towel over it. 7) Crowding. Spaces are small, so there are BIG RVs boxing you in everywhere. 8) Floor tiles are warped on edges, you can tell animals have went to the bathroom on them. 9) Floor was dirty (room itself was clean and looked good and so was the bed sheets) 10) Pricing, to me, was deceptive, see my receipt. In making the reservation online, I put 2 adults and 2 pets. It came up$182.69 as a total and I paid that. There is a note that other charges for"additional" adults, pets, etc may apply. It says"additional" not that they don't charge you for your pets until you get there. So I had to pay an additional $58...making my total for the night almost $250. Would never stay again!
GuideI've grown up going to Montgomery Bell State Park and have been camping there for 23 years. The campground has water and electric hookups, space for RVs, and bathrooms with showers.
The campground is adjacent to a creek and a baseball diamond. In addition to these features, the park offers a lake for boating as well as a roped off swimming area and man-made beach. Next to the lake is the park lodge which includes a restaurant, meeting rooms, and a swimming pool. The lake also has a picnic pavilion with restrooms.
The park was built on an historic home site so there is an old chapel (which still has services) and an old log home as well as a small family cemetery. There are also a number of hiking trails, a suspension bridge, and very nice, modern cabins available to rent.

GuideStayed here with friends who had a large RV. When we arrived, we set to work on getting the slides out and and the RV leveled. We had originally reserved site#9, which offered some challenged in getting level. There was also one tree on the site, that prevented us from putting the awning out. We went into the office to check in and see if it was possible for us to move 2 sites over to#7. They were very helpful and flexible with our need to move. Once we made that move the RV leveled and all slides and awnings were available to us. The sites are very clean and well maintained. The bathroom and shower facilities are also very clean and well maintained. They offer a shuttle to take campers to Broadway for just$10/person. The shuttle runs on scheduled and communication around expectations was very clear. Firewood at the KOA was pretty expensive. We paid$10/bundle, and the wood available on our visit was cedar. As you can imagine we burned through a bundle in about an hour. The second day we checked around and found a firewood business about 30 minutes away. Nashville Firewood was a bit muddy, but luckily we had 4 wheel drive to venture back into the property and load up. Overall, great stay. Will be back again, and this time bring family to stay in one of the nice cabins they have available.
LegendOur GPS brought us right to this KOA resort near the Grand Old Opry. Check-in was fairly quick and we were escorted to pull through site J-2 with FHUs and KOA patio. The utilities are more to the front of the site with two sewer connections. We had decent water pressure. This campground (CG) has a lot of mature trees that would make satellite iffy depending on the site. We got 4 bars on Verizon and used our MiFi versus Starlink for our overnight stay. The KOA WiFi was very good when we tried it. The CG has the upgraded sites, cabins, and amenities to include a shuttle bus stop to make this a true resort. However, there are sections of, as they say around here,“residents that have been here a minute.” For the most part their areas are clean, but when someone starts their old diesel truck up at 3:45 AM for 15 minutes before going to work it takes away from the resort ambiance. There’s also a lot of interstate noise. The playground area across from us went crazy with kids running around and screaming with no adult supervision. The office staff was very nice and helpful. We stopped by the office to let them know that one of our sewer connections was missing a cap. The issue was fixed before we go back to our campsite. The gift shop at the office is well stocked with sundry items and souvenirs. Overall, this KOA was a pleasant experience.

FAMILIES +++ With a great pavilion, Vb court, ball diamond, and playground, the far side of the camp is perfect for families, groups, and events. Our fave sites are 1-8, with #1+2 right next to the creek and the most updated bathrooms. If you don't want kiddos walking through your campsite to get to the playground, you may want to choose a higher number.
BATHROOMS there's three bathroom facilities; two newer ones and an older one. Ironically, the older one has a washer and dryer, bring quarters. Far side of the camp has tents and creekside spots, but a lot.of folks with big RVs tend to do the middle spots, they're more easily accessible.
ICE AND FIREWOOD Are for sale, $5 a bag/bundle. Super helpful staff. Unlike most camps that have gates, you can pull in, and simply stop with enough room for others to go around.
THINGS TO DO There's some historic hiking trail, historic old church/cabins, as well as the welcome center, the Inn, lake to swim, and a golf course nearby.
DRIVE AROUND With such an expansive park, aside from the camping area, you'll want to drive around to see everything, and bring your walking shoes if you prefer to hike.
Check out the creekside campsites and book early if you want to accommodate your group OR get a spot. Sites are able to booked 6 months ahead, so think ahead.
LegendCedars Of Lebanon State Park ,split tree fences and ancient farm equipment, black and white photos in the visitors center, old style cabins and rock boundary fences. History is very present in Cedars.
A 2 mile running trail that meanders through old farm land and indigenous trees. CCC original looking covered benches which overlook a dry stream bed that ends in an exploitable old cave. A wood bridge further down the small valley crosses the stream bed and can be followed to the nature centers very cool garden.Check in before exploring the cave and wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy, low ceiling and headlamp/flashlight needed.
The picnic area which is adjacent the lodge has small and large pavilions for use and fire pits. The lodge looks like it’s the original that you can see in the black and white photos.
The campground has three areas. One has side by side sites, no privacy and not much space but easy in, easy out. The other two loops have more area between sites which are tucked back into the trees. Area 3 is for pop ups , tents and vans with 20 amp electric, Area 2 is for the larger campers, 30 amp and area 1, the side by side is 30 to 50 amp. There is disc golf, a swimming pool and riding stables plus two playgrounds and a nice gazebo that you can rent for special events. Definitely a campground to spend a chill weekend and unwind.
