My First Love

I stumbled upon Elkmont about 15 years ago and I completely fell in love. I’ve spent many nights under the Elkmont stars and imaging what it must’ve been like living in that small, mountain railroad town. All the history there and seeing what once were peoples homes has a strange yet intriguing…

Lots of Amenities and Close to the Smoky Mountains National Park

We loved this campground! Very nice and spacious sites. The campground was developed along the Little River and is absolutely gorgeous! The bathhouses are the nicest I have ever seen. The sites were level and had full hook-ups. They are renovating the pool and it looks like it will be amazing. It…

Very nice and clean

This campground is very nice. Pool area clean and have many outside chairs. The lazy river is small but still nice plus 2 other pools. Very close to Pigeon Forge and many shops and activities bear by.

A little hard to find.

The coordinates on here will lead you to the middle of the road, however, if you keep driving, right before you hit the state park, you will see a campground to your left that is free free free. It overlooks some hills and is relatively level. Decent cell coverage if you need to work. Overall,…

Great access to GSMNP

Nice park with amenities close to the NP. Grounds were well kept, staff was super friendly, good laundry room. Pool and plenty of room to walk dogs.

A good (and affordable) park near the Smokies, spaces are big rig friendly.

Simple, affordable, accessible.

This a an RV park, not a resort. It has everything you need: full hook ups, dog park, laundry. Clean, well kept and friendly. Sites are small and close, but work even for the larger rigs.

A safe and reasonably priced place to spend a night while traveling, or a couple while exploring the area.

Great little spot

We were just passing through and it was the perfect spot to stay the night. We called that afternoon and they had a site for us, the gentleman who welcomed us was so kind and friendly. It’s just off the highway, close to gas and coffee, yet it felt like we were way out in the middle of nowhere.…

Great place right on the river but no Verizon coverage

Great place. Beautiful views on the river. Very clean. Large sites with really nice patios. Only problem is no and I mean zero Verizon cell coverage. Internet it’s OK to stream movies but I had to go to their coffee house for reliable WiFi when I was working.

Amazing location in the Smokies

We stayed for a week on an RV back in site. The sites can be soemwhat close together, but with this mostly just being home base, we didn’t find it to be a problem. Our oldest rented a bell tent, and when I say they are the cutest camping spot, I am not exaggerating. The bell tents sit on the river…

Great location for stargazing

Nice, simple, quiet place. Many things to do from there- Nemo tunnel, Catoosa WMA, several hikes.

This is a dark sky park, a neat thing to experience.

Crowded but Beautiful

While our site was not private, we felt like there was plenty of space. We were close to the creek and restrooms. We really enjoyed driving Cades Cove Loop, but plan on several hours to complete it. The hikes in the area are beautiful.

Unreal

This area of NC was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The campground was rustic, but absolutely gorgeous, right beside Fontana Dam. Trout fishing here is top notch. We camped in the overlander tent here. Bath house was rustic but clean and fit our needs. There are a ton of wild…

Good campsite

Campsites are nice but electric hookups only at certain sites. Its a national campground so its beautiful with nice bathouses but not much activities other than hiking. There are a limited amount of sites that would accommodate a large RV, mostly tent sites. It is first come first serve with no…

Great State park

Awesome campground! Great trails, campsites are big with fire rings and grills, and bathhouses are kept clean. Watch for copperheads!!! There are lots at this park. Watch your step not only on the trails, but everywhere you go! We found one under our trashcan

Great family campground

We came here for 3 nights beginning of May after 3 nights at Greenbrier 15 min down the road. It was perfect last 3 nights in Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge area . Well maintained, staff friendly and provided info and some history on area. Hiking trails right from campground . Put put and game room was…
