TravelerThe campground was full but very quiet. The campers are stacked into the hillside and are very close to each other, but it was still a peaceful overnight experience. The office staff were friendly and the restrooms and showers were clean and always stocked. It’s nice that it feels like it’s out in the mountain countryside, but is just right outside of downtown. A great place to stay if you’re coming in for an ASU home game.
ScoutThis is a nice wooded campground with nice shelters next to most campsites. Bathrooms were clean. Check in was easy. Owner did not require a deposit, made reservations by phone. I did have to change the check in time and communicated with owners easily. Gates close around dark so late check in is not possible. Only negative feedback I have is that owner requested not to use the campground bathrooms if fully hooked up and bathrooms are for tent camping purposes. This was not explained or advertised prior to reservations. Im paying for the convenience of not using my black tanks. Overall would stay here again.

TravelerNice campground but getting in is treacherous. Don’t come up NC 226 it unfriendly for RVS . About 1 mile to the campground the road is horrible and will beat you and your rig half to death. The swimming lake is more like a mud hole then a lake and the game room machines wont take your money and the pool table is missing the cue ball and chalk. Overall I will not be coming back.

TravelerI absolutely love coming to LCH! The owners are amazingly sweet, the other campers are always kind, and the space is absolutely beautiful. Whether you’re floating in the creek, enjoying a meal at the cabana, or even having to “adult” by working remotely you’ll find this the perfect spot to settle in for a few days. The added benefit of on site laundry and a great outdoor shower just top off an already great space.
TravelerWow! I wanted some peaceful time beside a creek and my wish was granted. First off communication leaves nothing to question, friendly and responsive from the get go. You are greeted as soon as you come down the easy to spot and welcoming entrance. I travel in a Class B Campervan and was directed to a well shaded spot where my side doors opened directly to the creek, ahhhh. (Site #2) The Hosts Rob and Kim have understand the need for a spot to bring a big rig and most of the sites here will accommodate big rigs.A level spot is assured and each site is by the creek, the sound of moving water is included free of charge. Pets are very welcome here and my dog loved being here. Some very nice bonuses here are a bench swing and firepit in the sites, access to a very cute enclosed dining cabana made from rough hewn wood harvested from this land and built by Rob, access to a grill and of course laundry facilities and a shower (fees apply).I went down the trail where the very clean tent sites are and they are also so cute and include a mat and nice table as well as a firepit.I have already told several friends about this spot and I actually chose to extend my stay
ScoutCampground is not big which is a plus. Couple miles off the highway so not a lot of traffic noise. Camp store is fully stocked. However the food at the snack shack not so good. Playground and pool are very small compared to other KOA properties. A lot of full time campers which is not a bad thing but leaves very little room for folks just passing through.
