Huge state park with lots of things to do. Archery, shooting, atv trails, and water sports.
We had site #8 which was near the public beach. There was a large pavilion and playground.
We will definitely be back.
Lots to do in this family friendly campground. We never even left. We had a stream-side site that was quiet and relaxing and the kids loved playing in the stream. There is a water slide, pool, fishing pond, Gaga Ball and more. Our site was in a roundabout and bit hard to maneuver in with lots of other vehicles already there, but we managed ok.
We enjoyed our stay and took full advantage of the lake. We paddle boarded, swam, and kayaked. The pool area is nice and they had live music on Saturday night.
It’s a little pricey, but if you want to experience Nashville, it’s a pretty good deal given the proximity.
Not much shade on most sights but the area is well kept and clean. Trash pickup every morning.
There were many options for sites, including nice pull throughs. Some were well shaded , others had nice water views. We had an oversized site that was a pull through. We got there after sunset, so it was nice to have a quick and easy set-up. Large swimming lake, hike loops, playgrounds, leisure areas including picnic sites, tennis, basketball, and disc golf give you lots to choose from. They also had a large marina and a restaurant on the property.
We will be back in warmer weather for sure.
This campground is not huge but it has everything you need. Especially, proximity to the river. Our two sites were directly facing the river, which was shallow, with a slow current until they let the dam out. Then, you had about a 2 hour window before the current came. If you wanted to go rafting , there is an outfitter right next door. We barely used the pool, playground, and wifi because the kids liked being in nature. There were also tent sites and cabins. We’ll comeback!
