About

Welcome to Tower Campground, conveniently located near Sioux Falls, SD. This spot is perfect if you're looking for a place to stay while passing through or if you need a base for exploring the area. It's open all year, so whether you're braving the winter chill or enjoying a summer road trip, you'll find a spot here.

The campground offers full hookups, including sewer and water connections, which is a big plus for RV travelers. The sites vary in size, with some larger premium spots available if you want a bit more space. Just a heads-up, though: some of the sites are right next to the highway, so you might hear some traffic noise. If you're sensitive to noise, you might want to bring earplugs or a white noise machine.

One of the standout features here is the clean and well-maintained shower and laundry facilities. Visitors have mentioned that the showers are spotless, and the laundry room is secure, which is always a relief when you're on the road. There's also a nice playground for the kids, making it a family-friendly option.

While the campground itself doesn't have a lot of activities, it's a great jumping-off point for local attractions. For instance, Porter's Sculpture Park down I-90 is worth the drive if you're into quirky roadside art.

Pets are welcome here, so feel free to bring your furry friends along. Just remember, no fires are allowed, so plan your meals accordingly. And if you're looking for a quiet, secluded camping experience, this might not be your ideal spot, but for convenience and amenities, Tower Campground has got you covered.

Great place to stay

We spent one night here. Parking lot is paved. Clean showers and laundry room. We stayed on the west side. It’s literally in town but very easy on and off interstate. The airport is close by which made it neat to watch.

Nice stopover

This campground is a great location when passing through Sioux Falls. It is right off I29, and there a quick in and out sites up front. If you plan to stay a few days, there are nicer spots in the back with more space and shade. Nice playground, laundry facilities are clean and secure. Full hookups. Go see Porters sculpture park down I90. Worth the drive.

Not what was expected

Booked our reservation in feb for memorial weekend- paid for the upgraded premium site and selected our site- upon arrival we were moved to a different site then selected at reservation, which was also a premium site with a fire pit and large lot area, however it was directly next to the hwy and the road noise was terrible all hours of the day. Not a lot to do at the campground, but had nice rest rooms and shower building. Large campsites if you pay for the upgraded premium site. Other sites appeared small and close together. Not my style of camping experience.

Friendly but noisy

Very friendly and accommodating staff. This park is open year round and well set up for cold weather, the water spigot is heated so if you invest in a heated water line and have an insulated camper you should be good for the cold. Many units were tucked in for winter with skirting and large external propane tanks. The negatives are noise and lights. Highway noise was very very loud. Easy to see outside but not a lot of camp feel. Bright light through skylites while sleeping. Didn’t use bathrooms or showers so no comment on facilities.

Good place

It’s a real good place to camp with lots of space and year around hookups. The rates are a little high as I stay here because of my work. You are right next to a couple main roads as well so there is a lot of traffic noise. If you want quiet, it’s not the place. Other than that it is a very good place.

Nice sites nice staff

The spots are good size and most are shared asphalt pads where your rear end faces your neighbors rear end. However you don’t share a pedestal or any other hookups with them. Our site had a water hook up that was equipped with a heater on the spigot for cold weather.

Great Experience at Tower

Was looking to stay here maybe a week & that turned into almost a month! Enjoyed the campgrounds, had shade trees, decent space between RVs & staff was Super Friendly. Would return again, no hesitation.

Camped in a parking lot

First problem we had was they messed up our reservations because their computer system and the website aren’t the same so they didn’t have our reserved site for us. They did give us a spot for free but it was very sketchy and my wife and daughters didn’t feel safe so while I was setting up camp she was finding another campground to go to the next night.

Ok for an overnight

This campground is right off I90. Coming off the exit, GPS wants you to make a u-turn to get to the property on the other side of the road. Not easy with toad! This campground has 2 sides, one is literally a parking lot, and the other is beautifully tree lined. They have full hook ups and a mix of paved and gravel sites. My gravel site needed more gravel to be level. Camp office staff was nice enough, but simple and not much to offer. Nice bathrooms with showers and laundry facility. My site backed up to the highway and was very loud. Actually, the whole campground is kind of highway loud. But, if you need a place to stay overnight, it’s nice.

Nice place but high noise level

Full hook ups including sewer connection. We were mostly there to sleep & ran an air purifier that proved white noise. Right on the freeway a lot of traffic noise.
