Super nice KOA with a coffee, wine and beer bar
Former KOA of the year campground. Just off the freeway with a bit of highway noise but heavily wooded and just plain beautiful.
Great experience
We stopped for one night on our way north. We had a ok site. The two best sites are 52 and 16. This KOA had a nice clean pool, a big chess game, panning for gold, a playground, a lake, a neat old phone booth that is a lending library and the Mermaid Coffee bar and Cafe. They do wine and beer tastings or you can just buy a glass of either. The sell Hunts brothers Pizzas that were cooked in a pizza machine, they were great. They have a small store if you need some things. This KOA has some cabins that are nice looking, a few of them are old train caboose’s. Very nice place to visit. To top it off a beautiful sunset.

Great place to stay
Excellent pool - big, clean, and goes from 3 to 8 feet deep. Sites are clean, most of them are shaded, and sizes are average. Campground itself is tucked back away from the main road, but not too far, So it is still easy to get to from 95. Playground is in good shape. Packed gravel roads. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great location for Savannah and Charleston
We chose this park based on its location. It is about 45 minutes from Savannah, and one hour from Charleston.
The people working here couldn’t be nicer.
The park also has a wine bar and coffee bar.
A charming KOA
We stopped here for just one night while traveling I-95. The staff was really friendly and helpful in guiding us to our site. Our site was located close to the bathrooms and showers, which were very clean, and the gravel surfaces were even and looked well-kept. In fact, we saw the staff promptly re-leveling the sites after folks checked out.
We had intended on leaving early in the morning but decided to stay just until checkout -- the campground had a very relaxing atmosphere given the cleanliness and surrounding trees. We had a solid T-mobile signal while there.
Nice jumping off point right off I-95
Great spot. Lots of shade. Guided to spot and helped us get parked. On-site pizza is very good, and they will deliver to your site. If south bound on I-95, after exiting get in the right lane. A right hand turn onto the access road happens quickly.
Great spot
Been here three weeks and Love it Being November it has been a great spot for us. Staff excellent, Hunt Brothers Pizza is a wonderful bonus. Right off 95 Yemassee SC Exit 33 Will definitely be a place we will come back to.
Amazing campground
There are a couple large pods you can walk around, nice pool and a dog run. Staff very nice. Put the bag of trash out in the morning and it is picked up for you. They had pizza and there was no extra charge for additional toppings. We liked it here so much we stayed an extra day. The site available didn’t have sewer but they were all booked up when we called just a couple days ahead. The nice thing about our site was it is a pull through and at the end so we had a very nice area outside our door.
Wooded sites
Nice clean koa campground. Very helpful staff. Smallish campground but well organized. Sites are good with new gravel on most sites.
Nice little campground
Camp ground is nice, clean, organized and friendly. Great pizza at the camp store. Also has beer and wine from local brewers and winery. Camp store does lack selection of snacks and stuff but still nice.
Top Notch Campground
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4- night stay at this site. The amenities were plentiful and the people working there were friendly and helpful. The grounds were well-kept and maintained. The WiFi worked perfectly -the best of anywhere we've stayed, and the cable had plenty of channels. On the nights that we didn't feel like cooking, they delivered delicious pizza and wings to our RV. We took day trips to Hilton Head, Savannah and Charleston, each about an hour away. We highly recommend this KOA. We can't wait to go back!
Service on Point
The staff here went above and beyond to provide us with a great stay. The most amazing part was the fault of our RV to secure a safe electrical connection. Our RV is new to us and the handle for the 50 amp was loose which I didn’t realize would be an issue.
Long story short, Jay, an employee took time out of his shift, clocked out, diagnosed and fixed our plug; averting us from catastrophic failure! We are so thankful to Jay and the staff for being kind and cordial throughout our experience.
They also have a great wine bar and excellent pizzas that were made in house. My children also loved the playground and the Alligator walk.
It was a great experience. We would definitely stay there again!
A Caboose and wildlife
A little out of the way , nicely kept KOA. I love the decorum. The office houses a shower , laundry , pizza service and a small coffee and liquor bar. The staff was very nice and professional. The dog park is itty bitty which might prompt you to take a walk on the trail around a small lake........but remember where you are cause your dog is not the top of the food chain here! No swimming in that lake! Well shaded and intricately interwoven parking spots. AND a Caboose to rent! Very cool. We stayed here overnight enroute to NC, it was moderately full but started filling up the day we left. The Parris Island is not far off and I’m sure during graduations this KOA gets crowded as well as evacuations and vacations.

Excellent Location
We stayed here overnight on our trip home from Florida. Checked in at dark and was guided to our site by staff. Mostly level sites with easy access. Beautiful Park with nice sites. Very helpful staff. Will save this Campground in our directory for future reference when traveling and needing a stop over.
Excellent Stop tucked off I95
Stayed at #52 and it was very private, level, and clean!
The gravel kept the camper clean; the deck with bench, table and chairs, gas fire pit was super nice; the grill with picnic table were awesome. The plot abuts the grassy area but wasn’t too buggy.
We went on a walk with our girls around the camp site, to the doggy area (small bjt super cute with some see saws, etc.), around the lake, and read the historical signs. We checked out the giant chess board, playground, horse shoes, and corn hole.
COVID restrictions were really well explained. Masks suggested, pool sign up with rules posted. We signed up for 6:30 and the team thoroughly cleaned between us and the precious crew.
The food and store was super and reasonable.
Next time I will def check out the nightly wine or beer tasting.
Can’t say enough good things - will def be back!!

clean comfortable fun close to Savannah, HHI, and Beaufort
This is a great family campground, they have very well appointed RV sites, Tent sites and cabins that look like train Cabooses, and some others. but it is super nice and well taken care of. its close to 95 but you really don't notice that. people like this place because there were a lot of return visitors from way out of state. We had neighbors that snowbird in FL but they live in Manitoba, Canada and drive all the way over just to stay there on their way to FL.
Small, clean, comfortable
Pet friendly with an enclosed dog area, beautiful area, clean, friendly and attentive staff.
Great stop for a night
We stopped for one night, very convenient location right off the highway. Our kids loved the gem mining and playground. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the bathrooms were very clean.
I wish the RV sites had more privacy. There was none. It reminded me of an RV park, not a campground.
Pizza! Wine!
Clean, well ordered campground. Pool for the kids and a wine tasting in the evening for grownups. Nice people, clean showers and great pizza. A good place to stop.
