Seven acres of friendly farm animals, vegetables, and fun in the Upstate of South Carolina. We have gorgeous views of Table Rock Mountain (an excellent state park for hiking!). Our farm features lots of rescued farm animals who are friends, not food, including donkeys, a horse, a sheep, goats, piggies, and of course a barn cat. We grow diversified vegetables using organic methods that we sell directly to consumers and to local restaurants and grocers. Great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle but still only 20 minutes from Travelers Rest and Greenville.

DuPont Bike Retreat is a Ride In-Ride Out location just 1/4 mile from the Fawn Lake Access area into DuPont State Forest. The DBR is 37 acres and has a pond with a dock and numerous camping sites available. The property used to hold Glass Feather Studio, which was a glass art studio and is now being renovated into the Glass Feather Lodge. The mountain view from the indoor porch is amazing and there are several places to relax and enjoy this view. There is a bike wash station and outdoor shower behind the lodge and an indoor restroom off the porch. A second full bathroom will also be available off the porch in the spring. The lower Pond area of the property has port-a-johns near the pond, and outdoor showers may be available as well in 2023 . Starter bundles of firewood are included, and additional can be purchased on-site. Come enjoy the forest straight from your campsite!



DuPont Bike Retreat

We have professionally built mountain bike trails that sweep through the forest. We are just minutes from the Hagood Mill Historical Site housing ancient native American petroglyphs and a host of other Appalachia folk history. 

Campers have plenty of options 10 minutes to downtown Pickens, SC. The Ale House or the Burning Brick is great nighttime entertainment and there are plenty of local artisans who run shops on Pickens Main St. 

The Market At The Mill is also close by and is a huge factory converted into an indoor flea market with several hundred vendors under one roof providing just about anything the eye can imagine for sale.



The Sanctuary

Camping Information : Camping is allowed only on designated campsites. Camping in other than designated areas may result in a fine. No drive up campsites are available on the park. There are no water or electricity provided at the campsites.

Camping Reservations : To make a backcountry trailside camping reservation, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK (7275) or make it online by clicking Park Reservations. Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. For example: If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.

Trailside Camping : The Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area offers trailside backcountry camping at 18 primitive sites. Fourteen sites provide fire pits, while four allow no fires. Permits are required, and camping is allowed in designated areas only.

Campers are asked to follow internationally recognized "leave no trace" camping practices. For more information on leave no trace practices, visit the official leave no trace ethics website.

Campers are asked to check-in at least two hours before dark in order to safely reach their campsites. Costs are $8-20/site/night. 

Backcountry Group Camping: The Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area offers one backcountry group campsite. The group site can be reserved for 10-20 people. Reservations for the group campsite must be made by calling the park directly. Costs are $4.40 - 5.50/person/night. Registration is required.

PETS
Pets : Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

Enjoy full access to my 4 acre farm in a beautiful valley in the Blue Ridge foothills, 15 minutes from Lake Lure & Chimney Rock; 20 minutes from Tryon Equestrian Center.  Also, easy access to Asheville, Hendersonville, and Black Mountain. Plus restaurants are only 5-15 minutes away.

Amazingly, you'll also have access to the full bathroom/shower in my lovely home; and full access to all the fresh water you might need.  All CDC recommended practices are in place.

It has a beautiful fire ring under a lovely white pine (please bring your own firewood). In addition, I have a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal). 

My only requests are to please remove your shoes when you come in to use the facilities and properly dispose of trash and cigarette butts (please pack out your trash).  I look forward to hosting you!!

Green Willow Farm Camping

**Bent River Equestrian** is a small horse farm at the foot of the Pisgah National Forest and \*less than \*4 miles from DuPont State Recreational Forest.

The farm is in a small neighborhood, so *appropriate for families, couples, and small groups* to use as a base camp for their adventures. We are only a few miles Oskar Blues, The Hub, and Ecusta Brewing! Additionally, Brevard has many restaurants and a bit of night life, with bands playing at 185 King St. regularly. Sunsets in the Fall and Spring are amazing on the farm, but we normally recommend you spend afternoons in the shade of the woods or river.

There are two Farm Hands/Backpacking Guides who live on site in their own tiny homes, and my small home is on site. Campers have an unobstructed view of Looking Glass Rock, Mt. Pisgah, and you can see up to The Devil's Courthouse.
