Very nice campground, convenient and clean. A lot of lake front camp sites
My 6 year old daughter lived her farm animal dream life for a week! The hosts were so accommodating. My daughter loved the free movie nights under stars, running wild with the goats, and the play grounds and play houses kept her busy for hours! The eggs were delicious, I spent time by the fire, in a hammock, and soaking up the sunshine. It was the rejuvenating experience I needed. I will definitely plan to stay here again!
Gets loud and crowded on the weekend as usual, the shower house is pretty nice. There are fire rings and electrics and nonelectric sites. Swimming and boating is nearby.
The water is muddy and the shoreline is sharp rocks.
Peaceful when the early morning lawn mower brigade has gotten past and the dumpster work isn't at full force near my campsite (B18) at 7:30 AM.
Nice campground with full hook ups. Close to a large recreational lake with hiking trails and a boat launch. Sites were fairly level no issues with power fluctuations and sewer worked great!
There really aren’t words! Everything is clean, quiet and serene! The people that work there we super friendly! Can’t wait to go back!
Quiet park. Some road noise from campsite J100 but US route 322 is lightly traveled. Typical tent site with fire ring and picnic table. Across street from bath house with shower and toilet which was clean.
It was a nice location to the turnpike but the bathrooms are so out of date. We have a small TT and use the bathhouse frequently. The stall doors hit your knees and the well water stinks…couldn’t wash my hand in the sink. Only one shower stall in the one of 2 bathroom locations. It was nice to see an area designated for dog swimming area. The office closed at 6 PM so no late arrivals. Nice pond but it was a little murky.
We will definitely be back. The sites are very level, so setup is a breeze. There's plenty of spots to go fishing and hang out by the lake, plus different things to do in the area.
Everything Was Perfect
The Day before they Called us to make sure that we were still coming and to confirm the reservation and offered us a FREE site upgrade! it is the little thing that count and we said yes! It was one of their deluxe patio sites ,super nice patio with concrete pad and Nice Picnic Table! Site was Super Large And Was Perfect For A larger rig! Our Rig is only about 34 feet long but still perfect.

My wife and I stayed here in late September so it wasn't overly crowded. The camp sites were fairly spacious and level. There seemed to be water fill stations scattered around the campground for convenience. I was actually able to fill me fresh water tank from one near by. The campground is fairly large and we rode our bikes around quite a bit, including our to the campground store at the entrance. There were numerous playgrounds and activities for kids. They have full hookup sections, but most of the campground is electric only. All in all the best review I can give is to say that we would go back.
The Staff Was rude and called our camper too long when it is only 34 feet!
Campground was clean and well maintained. Only issue we ran into was that the fire pit was not cleaned out after the last folks. It wasn’t a huge deal but there we had quite a bit of debris and wet ash to deal with. The wash houses scattered throughout are new and very clean. The one across from our site had 4 private bathrooms with a toilet and shower. Very well patrolled and tons of stuff to do within biking/running/driving distance.
The location was great. Big lake with a lot of water sports. Fantastic (but technical) disc golf course. It was me, my fiancee and my dog in a rooftop tent on top of a Tacoma. There was some sitting water which brought insane mosquitos, but we stayed immediately after a storm. Not the parks fault at all. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. Bring your own wood or buy it at the front desk in the check in building. They also offer a military discount!
We stayed in site C6 one of the reservable sites. Every site has plenty of room. Campground overall is quiet. And most if not all of the full hookups are pull throughs. But seems many of the tent sites are on grades. Couple beautiful walk in tent sites right on the water. Plenty of nice hiking trails. Great beach for kids.
We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights, I will not be returning ever. List of things that were horribly wrong with this campground..-The whole place smelled like rotting sewage, the public bathrooms had pee and poop all over the floor like the toilets had been backed up and they were like that the whole time we were there.-The playground was covered in caution tape, so it could not be used.-The billards room looks like if you even touch anything, the whole place is going to fall in. The ceiling was falling in, the pool table was a mess, there were broken darts for the dart board, the stereo did not work, the trash was over filled and was infested with bugs.-The owner is horribly rude, we had an issue with something and we tried talking to him about it and the answer we received was"yeah yeah" and walked off.-The swimming pool is a lot smaller than the pictures on their website, by probably more than half the size.-The lake is covered in green stuff, so fishing if very hard to do there.-We stayed with another group of people and we both had golfcart rentals which they had to double pay for because they messed up their reservation, they also lost their golfcart for a good chunk of the day because the tires were bad and it had brake issues and they never received any type of refund or anything for that.-Were yelled at for having children on laps on the golfcart(one being a baby) and was told they had to be seated. So we had to get out and walk,(even though there was a lot of golfcarts where there were people sitting on laps and not getting yelled at.)-The day we were leaving we tied one of our dogs up outside to return the golfcart(which the dog can't be in) and we already had the camper packed up. So we tied her up in a shady area at the site with water for not(5minutes,) the owner was at our site and yelling at my 10 year old daughter for leaving the dog out. 1- she is 10 and 2- the dog is not allowed on the carts or allowed in the store and you have a strict 12pm return time for those. She was perfectly fine for those 5 minutes. There were a few other times that the experience was just not enjoyable and I am sure the owner will comment back and deny everything like he does in any post that has anything bad to say about him. Was a horrible experience and would avoid this campground at all costs. There are so many better campgrounds and for a cheaper price!!
Very nice park with a lot of spacious spots. Scout camping, boat launch, primitive camping and more.
We just got back from our first trip to Mosquito Lake State Park Campground. All in all, it was a great experience.
We stayed in site 67, which is a waterfront site, with electric. The water is about 25 yards from the pad, but is visible from the entire site. The site was spacious, but not as private as some of the others. There is some woods between this site and the sites on either side, but other sites are visible. The fire pits and picnic tables were staggered, so it created some distance to make it feel more private.
The campground as a whole, was very quiet. We stayed from Wednesday to Friday. The group next to us seemed a little rowdy when we first pulled in, but by 10:00 there was no noise anywhere near us.
Most sites seemed pretty level from side to side, but where we were, several had a slope from front to back. Away from the waterfront, most sites looked pretty level. The amount of space between sites varied from site to site. Some sites had woods on both sides, while others were pretty open. Some had nice large grassy areas, others were much smaller. Sites from 214-224 are in a cul de sac and are water front, but they were pretty close together with very little privacy between sites, if any. They are very close to the water though.
There are bathrooms and water scatter about, but from what I saw there was only 1 shower house.
Wal-mart and other shopping and restaurants were about 3 miles away. Park was easy to get to, only one turn for us off the highway. Lake was great for kayaking and paddleboarding. Very nice dog park in a different part of the park. There is a boat launch accessible from inside the campground.
Dump station has 2 lanes which was nice when checking out. Fresh water fill up was also located near the dump station.
Jake from the Dyrt here! There aren't many places you can setup camp right by the river, but the Farm at Grand River has a great spot for those who love the relaxing sound of water nearby. Check them out and share a review about your stay on the Dyrt!
Booked a one night stay a day ahead of time on Ohio State Park site with full hookup. when we arrived the site had been given away by staff to move someone from a noisy area. Gave us the choice of a couple of other electric only sites. Found one right near the water and couldn't have been happier! Site 222 was on a cul de sac right across from the water. Site is probably under water in early year. Had a Pileated woodpecker visit us within 10 yards.
Can't say how nice Wilma from the park office was. She was very apologetic and at the end of our stay gave us a gift card to use for another stay. Both Wilam and the camp host checked on us to make sure we were happy.
Bring your kayaks and bikes.
Our site in Aspen was a beautiful private spot in the woods with access to the lake! We were able to dock our boat on shore and nobody bothered it. The lake is clean and covers a large area with beautiful homes along the water in some of the fingers. Had a blast there with friends! 😊
I agree with the other reviewer that Site G is the one with the best view in this campground. I booked over the phone since a change of plans meant it was within the 7-day window where they lock out online reservations. Left a message at the reservation number and received a prompt and helpful call back from a member of staff.
I camped at site J the tent pad was level and easy to drive stakes into. I didn't use the toilets so can't comment on the cleanliness there. The noise carries from other sites so, your neighbors will make or break how well you sleep here. Would return again, hopefully to a lean-to!
Big campsite lots of fishing area Archery rang
Sites are super big and is a great family owned campground! Super close to a local ice cream shop and has a great dog park and is fully paved. Large fishing area and Camp store! I love that you can use Campers App at this campground and I love getting the Notifications when I camping there!
My family stayed over Memorial Day weekend. It was so much fun. They have a lot of activities. My favorite was the disc golf. Their course is really nice!
The facilities were clean. The campground was quiet as much as can be expected. There are no restrictions on dogs and there was a bit of barking but nothing excessive. Our campsite had a flat area for the tent however it was set below parking level. While nice for privacy, the rain on our last day quickly ran down the slope and saturated our area. Site #197
Beautiful wooded sites with lots to do for the family. It is super hilly so if you’re looking for flat look elsewhere. Cute nature center, nice playground, lots of rentals available, clean beach with nice shallow swimming area. Our site barely had space for our large tent to fit but it all worked out. Make sure you check pictures of the sites to see if they will accommodate your rig/tent.
First time ever at this campground. Site 11 is very nice. It was quiet, peaceful, and just great. Only reason for not 5 stars is the 3 dirt speed bumps with no signs. You hit them pulling a camper and it was horrible. Will definitely be back again but next time back in the woods more
