We welcome you to Fish Lake Resort. Located at 4,600 feet elevation in the Southern Oregon Cascades. A truly beautiful setting in the pristine old-growth forest at the foot of Mt. McLaughlin (9,495 ft). The resort offers 11 cabins for lodging, 45 full hook-up RV sites, electric-only sites, and no hook-up sites for tenting. Aspen Point, located on the banks of scenic Lake of the Woods, is a single-loop campground that offers visitors opportunities to experience both the serene and wild aspects of south central Oregon. Aspen Point Campground is a wonderful location for hiking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and biking in summer and early fall. Adjacent to Lake of the Woods, anglers may want to cast a line out from boat or shore to reel in rainbow or brown trout. Kokanee salmon, bass, and perch, also thrive in the lake. Fremont National Forest is hemmed in by towering snow-capped peaks, volcanic landscapes and wide-open sage basins. The nearby Sky Lakes Wilderness, designated by Congress in 1984, is a land of lakes, rocky ridges and timbered slopes. It is approximately 6 miles wide and 27 miles long, with elevations ranging from 3,800 feet in the canyon of the Middle Fork of the Rogue River to a lofty 9,495 feet at the top of Mount McLoughlin. More than 200 pools of water, from mere ponds to lakes of 30 to 40 acres, dot the landscape. Large mammals, such as mule deer, Rocky Mountain elk, and pronghorn antelope, find homes in the the forests, while several varieties of trout inhabit lakes and streams. In the spring and fall, migrating geese, ducks and swans frame the Oregon sky. Black bears, mountain lions, and bobcats, also find homes in the forest.

This is definitely a campground for families. not much privacy between spots, they are all pretty much right next to eachother. if you’re looking for a more secluded, private campground i wouldn’t recommend this. that being said the nature surrounding the campground is pretty. i’m sure the lake is nice to take a dip in, wouldn’t know because we left early but if you’re just looking for a family vacation this would be a good spot. bathrooms were mostly clean and they have showers! and allowed fires even in the heatwave.

Lake of the Woods does not entirely honor the "America the Beautiful" interagency pass, even tho it is privately run it is on public NFS land that those passes should cover.
Shame on Lake of the Woods for taking money from Gold Star Families, Veterans, and Active Duty Servicemen and Women.
It's a privatized mess. Don't go there. Diamond Lake, Odell Lake, Paulina Lake are MUCH better destinations AND honor "America the Beautiful" passes.

Gorgeous wooded campsites along the lake. VERY kind camp host (Mark) who helped me out even tho I arrived late and without rez. Clean facilities. I was in a quiet spot but lots of families/groups even on a weekday evening. Your quiet might depend on luck of who you’re situated with.

Beautiful location but stuffed full of people. I got in late on a Friday night for an RV spot for my campervan. No staff around so I found an open spot and started getting ready for bed. Staff comes and wanted me to move to my “reserved” spot, which isn’t shared with you until you arrive, down in a tightly crammed section by the lake, which means shining my headlights and making noise at 11 PM for probably 20 plus sites. After discussing she agreed moving wouldn’t be best since no one would be using the spot I was in. Felt crowded, complicated, and poorly managed.

GuideWe came in mid march so they were still technically in their “off season”. All the staff I spoke to were very kind and helpful. There was no one else tent camping so we had the whole area to ourselves. Since it was the off season the store, bathroom and restaurant were closed but it’s still a really nice area to camp. It also had good cell reception. Only thing is that it was buggy when we were there.

No it is not perfect. It is close to Hwy 5 so a lot of road noise. But most in this area are. Sites are tight like most KOAs. We chose an end spot and did alright. Plus it was quiet part of year. Many year around residents but was not cluttered. Also sort of kept the short term rentals separate. Nice country location. Good green space to walk dogs. Did not get harassed for walking dogs off leash. We r responsible pet owners. Great laundry room. A little expensive for laundry. Pool table and Pac-Man was used by families. Very clean facilities and flexible manager on when we chose to leave.

It is noisy due to fire station and roads. Sirens. Basic but has hookups. Nice guy in office. It’s kind of a depressing area.
LegendGeneral: This RV Park is conveniently located between Grants Pass and the Oregon Caves National Monument, which is why we chose it.
Site Quality: All RV sites are FHU and level, and the road and camper pads are a dirt/gravel mix. There is also a tent area. Some sites back up to the road with loud road noise but you will hear some road noise from all sites. Some sites (ours included) back up to the Illinois River with a filtered view through the trees. Typical RV layout and although there are plentiful trees throughout, there is little separation/privacy between sites.
Bath/Shower House: Women’s was clean with three stalls (one was out of order) and two showers. There were no hooks on the stall doors so make sure you look underneath before opening a door! Did not use the shower.
Activities/Amenities: Other than the caves, we could not find much to do in the off-season. There is direct river access but in mid-October, the weather no longer cooperated for water activities. There are some nearby wineries. There is a laundry room but did not use it. Our first night was very different from the second. The first, It appeared we were only one of two “campers” and that everyone else was a month-to-month resident but by the second night, all river sites were occupied (in advance of the Eclipse).
The owners were very welcoming. I asked how the RV park got its name and was told the owners love alpacas. Unfortunately for us, they had already been relocated to a warmer climate for the season. In warmer weather, we would have enjoyed interacting with the alpacas and getting out on the river.

I car camped here based on another person's review. To add to her's I did not use a free shower unless you are able to get the code for the bathrooms at the campground from another camper then you can take a free shower. This facility offers RV camping, tps, and I'm open field for tent camping. The facility itself offers a hot soaking pool at 120 degrees that is fed from the hot springs, and a pool that is about 75°. They have restrooms, showers, and private bath houses that you can rent. There are a few snacks and locally made items inside the office. I do have drinking water and free bathroom use around the back side of the building. For car camping there is no shade just a gravel parking lot. There's also an older mobile home park in this area that is separated by a fence from the main facility which is where I can't. I felt safe I did however go stealth camping out of habit.
There are walking trails around the property including a gigantic garden of veggies and flowers. I did pay $15 for a half day use, 9:30 to 4:30, of the hot soaking & regular pools. You are allowed to bring food and drink in just no glass.
Ashland Oregon is known for Shakespeare festival, it is a liberal artsy free love type of town

Bathrooms are nice and clean, spot to wash your dishes, wifi is pretty good! Evey site has water and power access. Also has a pool.

TravelerThis was a beautiful place to stay that we got lucky booking on a holiday weekend at the last minute. We arrived around 1730 after visiting Crater Lake. There is a shop where you can buy food, drinks, alcohol, firewood, etc. The shop opens around 9am and closes at 7pm. The employees were very kind and helpful with whatever questions we had. There is access to toilets and coin showers but the men’s shower I was told from my partner was not working. Overall it’s a beautiful place to stay and I would definitely stay there again

Unbelievable rude customer service. Brenda the owner, screamed in child's face"To get the f_ck out of her pool!" Screamed at numerous paying guests that are residing in the RV park to get the f_ck out. Then proceeded to us verbally attack us that were guest of a paid RV tenant trying to have a friendly BBQ with 5 adults and 7 children. Which we never even got the food hot..but did light the bricketts. Brenda, the owner was calling people bit_hes and yelling f_ck you in front of a dozen plus kids aside from my own. All unprovoked. She called the sheriffs and told them we were trespassing and didnt pay. We gladly left and will not return. She also is overcharging guest, check website and your bill closely for sure. We made sure we were allowed to be their, it is open to the public with no fees for bbqing and a small fee for swimming/pond use which we would have gladly paid given the chance. We had the money in envelope just no secure place to pay it as the office was close and no secure lock box exists. Avoid at all cost. The side of road is a better option.... read other reviews those are not lies or exaggeration about the owner Brenda or her husband that sat on a bench enjoying the whole fiasco go down. If you've never dealt with a meth head you will now.

Great spot for families. There are plenty of things to do from fishing, swimming, and even renting a "peddle" boat for a leg workout while taking your trip around the lake.

Yep, we went camping in the snow. The campsites were cleared of snow and we had a beautiful overlook of the lake. The staff/host were wonderful and accommodating.

This is our second stay at this particular KOA over a couple of different trips.

TravelerI’m camping here in my car basically in a gravel parking lot next to a meadow for tent campers. There’s very little privacy however! The amenities and addition opportunities make up for it. There are free showers, a bathroom with running water, potable water, and for $10 extra you get 1.5 hours soaking in a mineral pool, one hot one cold, and there’s also a sauna. In addition the showers inside the spa are much nicer!! I feel completely rejuvenated, and definitely recommend for anyone looking to have a relaxing evening :)

Camp site coordinates are incorrect. Search for Camp Creek Campground, there are also Juniper Point/Mirror Cove that have free sites. Coordinates took us into a “neighborhood”, onto a private road, and all over the place while we arrived past 10pm.
Using Google Maps we were able to find out that there were nearby campgrounds and the county website says they were free FCFS.
We stayed at Camp Creek Campground right next to the dock/launch. Camp site has a nice stone table, within minutes we were swarmed by mosquitoes and our dogs had multiple thorns in each of their paws. The table became their safe place. Waking up we discovered the water was full of blue green algae with no notices around. There’s also big piles of horse poop as the horses are allowed to roam the recreation area.
Site is okay if no dogs, port-a-potty was clean. You’re better off staying at Fish Hook/Blue Heron RV Park or closer to I-5 at another RV camp site than camping here where the water should not be accessed.
