    - Recharge, Reset or Create in our 100% upcycled, freegan, woman built handcrafted Treehouse! Made entirely of reclaimed lumber and supplies with a tin roof in Oklahoma City.

    * No Cleaning Fees!

    - OK Treehouse is also booked by searching Ok treehouse Airbnb and is a tiny but mighty installation art experience!

    The space

Simple restful Artisan retreat for ONE (or two snugglers ) in a Treehouse located in Full Shade Certified Wildlife Habitat Garden.

**The upper Treehouse Treetop sleeping level is a SMALL one-room space only 64 sq. feet interior plus the upper deck. There is one double bed SET WITH ONLY SHEETS and one blanket plus full electricity which allows for very comfortable sleeping and just hanging out. There is a superfan for warm weather and a small electric heater for cooler evenings…there is NO central air conditioning or heat! The walls do not have insulation in them. Air flows in and out with randomness.

**The Flipside ROOT level area of the TREEHOUSE is much larger with decks Outside Open To The Elements. There is a covered bench area, outside table and chairs, outside lounge chair, outdoor kitchenette (sink, two-burner stove, and basic cooking supplies) and there is a community art project in progress for u to add to if u wish. There is also a CEDAR Outdoor Shower and camping toilet area. (Hot steamy water when temps are above freezing only. For sure NOT in JanFebMarch which is our only winter here in Oklahoma)

See notes in pictures for more details.

**There is a large fire pit that can be lit After Dark, firewood to burn, string lights that fill the yard, Hula hoops, and an adult-sized see-saw!

**Treehouse is located in a residential neighborhood and backs up to a pond where wildlife critters can be viewed as long as you never go over there not ever. Goose ❤Swan love story happening over there.

**If you are looking for a unique space that is peaceful and quiet (or being part of a creative community) you will enjoy staying with us and we will enjoy hosting you! Our family of artists also lives on the property and we are very respectful of your privacy while also being on hand in case you might need anything else.

The space is filled with an eclectic array of tiny oddities left behind by fellow travelers. Bring one of your to add to the collection!

**The root level decks can not be seen from our house. We can not see into the TREEHOUSE. Private entrance through the side gate into our backyard is where the TREEHOUSE is located.

**Created in 2015, OK Treehouse has grown and changed into what you see today. All is 100% recycled/upcycled: (except for the bed cuz that's gross!) The lumber, paints, screws, tin roof, yard art, kitchen, windows, fabrics, and doors sent to the curb for the trash man, left behind to fill another landfill. All recreated into what it is today. Even all the landscaping!

** Please make sure that you are physically capable of using steep ladder stairs repeatedly. The entire Area is USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! By booking here you have acknowledged this!

** The nighttime is the right time! Check-in is not until 6 PM and check-out is at 10 AM.. . If you are traveling from far away and would like to leave your bag here until check-in time, we can do that.

If you are in need of more than one night's stay: You must book nights Separately and not be in the Treehouse during the daytime hours of 10am to 6pm ( but yes u can leave all ur things)

**No cigarette smoking in the upper treetop level of Treehouse. No parties! Quiet always. No pets as BabyKitty loves and lives here and just might hang out with you the entire time. Please no service animals as BabyKitty has PTSD dog issues.

**Firepits don't light when it has been raining. No there is not a TV. Leaves aren't on trees in the winter. Ladybugs, Bees, and other crawlie or flying things are beautiful creatures. My garden is a polinator-friendly Certified Wildlife Habitat. No, It does not rain inside the treehouse. Yes, we are 5 blocks off of Rt 66 and you will hear the highway cuz we are right in the middle of the city- especially when there are no leaves on the trees. Ducks at the neighbor's pond quack all night long, random dogs bark, singing birds will wake you in the morning and coolers only have food and ice in them if you bring that all yourself.

** If you like the outdoors, mother nature, and all of her creatures – then this is for you. If the sight of a bug has you running and screaming – this is not for you. If you need an air-tight temperature-controlled space – this is not for you. If you want to slow down, breathe in the fresh air – then this is for you.

**Thanks so much for helping support our mission of Reducing, Recycling, and Recreating the world by providing a low-cost alternative to high-priced stuffy lodging.

    Overview

Central Campground is a family-friendly primitive group campground found in the Platt Historic District of Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Nearby Travertine Creek provides several refreshing, spring-fed swimming areas to escape the summer heat. Other close attractions, such as Little Niagara and the Travertine Nature Center make this campground an ideal location for both beginner and experienced campers. Central Campground is only a few minutes away from the town of Sulphur.

    Recreation

Swimming and hiking are among the favorite activities at the campsite. A short walk takes you to Panther Falls, a refreshing swimming area. Nearby hiking trails meander along streams, past cool rushing waterfalls, and on to mineral and freshwater springs.

    Natural Features

The springs and streams in Chickasaw originate within a region of Oklahoma characterized by complex geology. Intense faulting, folding, uplift and erosion have combined to form a land surface of gently rolling hills dissected by streams.

    Nearby Attractions

Try Little Niagara, a favorite freshwater swimming hole. The Travertine Nature Center is a wonderful resource to view nature exhibits, meet live animals on display, and listen to rangers' presentations. A bison pasture is nearby, so bring the kids and cameras to see the beautiful animals grazing.

    Charges & Cancellations

Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather. Please read the official cancellation rules and policies of recreation.gov thoroughly before booking your campsite. Chickasaw National Recreation Area is not responsible for cancellation fees charged by recreation.gov.

Plenty of spaces with full hookups, cable/wifi, but spaces are close together. No fire ring. We asked to change our site and they accommodated us. Friendly staff with small store. They have small, but nicely maintained dog park. They have live buffalo, too! Pool, jacuzzi, laundry, and bathhouse.

    Beautiful

A beautiful KOA in the edge of town. Nice cabins with 1/2 bath and TV’s. Large bathhouses and nice clean showers. Large camp store. Funny thing is, same guy owns this KOA and the puny little KOA in Checotah.

This place is TRASH DO NOT STAY !!!!

The most unkept RV park I’ve ever seen in the 11 years I’ve been RVing this place is disgrace. It smells like sewage, their pool and spa have algae in the water feels like slime is on you. The staff is so unprofessional and rude, and just plain ugly to you literally, there are drugs in meth addicts in the bungalow cabins they literally rent these places to homeless people and crime is so high here do not stay. The manager is so so evil.

    Easy access right off highway

When Traveling through Oklahoma along the major highway there are serval options for accommodation. However at some of these for larger rigs are a little bit harder to access. I have visited the Turner Falls area numerous times and often wondered how some of the larger rigs Faired on the long winding road up the mountain.

I found this park to be very easy to access for those who might have issues otherwise. Not to mention it has close proximity to Arbuckle wilderness which is a special added feature.

This site is primarily designed for RV campers however they do have an additional lodging area also run by the establishment where you can stay and lodges or cabins sprinkled throughout the area.

The RV setting runs along side a stream which makes for an ideal lake and beautiful green surrounding. Sites are relatively even and have enough space in between them or it does not feel claustrophobic. They do offer nightly weekly and monthly accommodation. The campground host here was very nice and allowed me to look at the campgrounds entirely mentioning that they do sometimes allow tent campers there as well. That is in a case by case scenario however.

The facilities themselves are clean there is a pavilion as well as a restroom with code entry. This is nice because it allows only those who are actually camping at the campground to utilize the services.

The roads are not paved they are hard packed and even on the rainy day that I’ve visited for photos I did not notice that my car got stuck in bumps or ruts.

Overall in my opinion this is a great spot if you’re wanting to set up and explore the area around you for a few days. If you have the ability to unhitch from your rig and drive around in a smaller vehicle this site is perfect. I also recommend checking out only 13 miles up the road the national recreation area which is great for additional fishing and water sports.

    Well managed, pleasant

This KOA is an excellent choice for visiting Oklahoma City. Check in was quick and friendly. It was easy to get to downtown, yet the traffic noise was never an issue. Anything you need is nearby. We liked our site, it was level and the utilities great. The bathroom/showers were very clean and there was plenty of hot water. The maintenance was good throughout. Solid KOA.

    Nice friendly park

Stayed here 2 nights this May. The location is good for access to Oklahoma City attractions. It is right off the interstate so the usual highway noise but not terrible. Free coffee and muffins every morning. Bathouses were very clean and well kept. Didnt look at them but there are Buffalo there in a pen. A lot of workers stay there but not a problem. Cable was included but didn't work for us or our neighbor. You can get lots of local air channels though.

Depends what you are looking for

Looking for a nature centric camping experience? This isn’t your place.

Need a place convenient to the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie or Edmond to base out of of? This could be your spot.

Need an easy on/off overnight spot in central Oklahoma? This could work for that, too.

Not scenic, but clean, level spots. On-site store and propane are handy. Spots aren’t roomy, but I’ve been packed in tighter at other places. All spots look to be pull-through.

Lazy E is only 4 miles away.

Chicken Shack is very close and has great fried chicken. A bigger convenience store and gas station is close as well.

In Guthrie check out Missys Donuts for the best donuts and in Edmond, Texlahoma BBQ is consistently awesome.

    Wewoka Lake

    Ok for a small lake

It's a small lake in Seminole County Oklahoma a couple miles from the town of Wewoka. It has a small RV campground and some primitive campsites along waters edge. It is always active with jet skiing. It has a swim beach and a few pavilions. The 4th of July festival is popular there and always a big hit. The park entrance is free. There is a small fee for launching boats kayaks are free to launch. The restroom is in the main campground which is bad if your at the swim beach or camping on a tent site because it's a long walk around the cove. The showers have only cold water. During the week there is always campsites. The lake is overcrowded on the weekends and during festivals. It's a Wednesday and not many camping today. It's also a very hot day 104 degrees.

    Nice park, brown water

Neat and clean park. Water was brown, but we have a Berkey filter, so it wasn't a problem for us. I wouldn't be happy if we didn't have the Berkey, and weren't still winterized. Use your inline filters here! Friendly staff.

    Busy campground with excellent management

Beautiful campground with plenty of amenities at a great price. The spaces were a good size to fit our 45’ toyhauler with 2 vehicles (and put the back patio down). There are a fair bit of trees, so big rigs use caution pulling into spaces.

Nice playground for the kids, pool was closed (opens Memorial Day to Labor Day), dog park is large and very well shaded. Laundry room is very clean and well kept.

Approximately 20-30 minutes from OKC zoo & science museum.

Overall wonderful stay with no complaints.

    Beautiful Spot!

This place is lush with trees and greenery. Friendly staff and easy to maneuver. We stayed just for a night, but you really get that mountain camping feel here instead of just a flat lot. Sites are semi private and not budded up to your neighbor. At least our site wasn’t.

    Convenient but noisy

Just did a quick overnight stop here.  The site is bordered by a moderately busy 4 lane road which is why I gave it 4 vs 5 stars.

I was in a tent site but had easy access to electric and water.  I hosted a Zoom meeting from the picnic table with no issues over the KOA Wifi.

As is typical with KOA and most RV campgrounds, very closely packed sites.

Exceptionally friendly staff and well kept facilities.

    Great, clean campground. Friendly staff.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and the park was mostly full. It’s right off a major interstate and easy to get to. Even with being off a main road and lots of other campers the park was nice and quiet. We stayed in a pull thru spot so easy to get in an out of. Nice and level. We had a picnic table and grill. Lots of shade trees and paved roads made it nice to take walks. The bathrooms were nice and clean, individual rooms with toilet, sink and shower in each. Had a nice playground and great swimming pool. They have a small store on site for souvenirs, camping items and also food items. There are storm shelters on site.

The spots were a little close together but not too bad.

    Incredible and Friendly!

A friend and I host a vintage trailer rally here every April. The owners and staff have been incredible to work with! They are very accommodating. Even during an extended power outage during inclement weather, they made sure we had a heat source. Their bath house is second to none. Members of our group rave about how clean and well kept the entire campground is. Close to OKC for those visiting and planning on attending events or activities.

    It’s ok

Disappointed about the patio site… drive through very unleveled. They do have two storm shelters which would not fit everyone. The bathrooms clean hosts are nice. Play ground cute, updated , and room to run. Dog run needs work, it consists of dead leaves and silt sand. Spaces are closer than we prefer.
