The space
Social distancing at its finest! Now featuring 4g for AT&T customers, so come work from the woods! This campsite will only be shared with you and your guests! No need to check-in. Pull right onto the private drive from the dirt road. Water, sewer and power hook-ups are available. Winter stays are welcome and a heated hose is provided for those crisp winter nights. RV or campers required as restrooms are not available. Tents are certainly welcome with an accompanying camper with a restroom. Feel free to bring as many tents and additional guests as you would like! Just know they will have to share the camper restroom. A sanded campsite will comfortably fit a large camper or RV. Room for additional campers that don’t require hookups.

You are free to roam the property and creek as you wish. If you wish to explore forest and hike the old logging roads, a map of the property lines is provided in the onsite guidebook.
Other things to note
WiFi is through satellite internet so during inclement weather or high traffic times, internet will be slow. WiFi is for basic web surfing, work tasks and communication only. Video streaming (Netflix, Tik-tok etc) is not permitted to preserve data for future guests. Who wants to watch Greys Anatomy while camping anyway? VOIP and video conferencing is prioritized over all other connections but the quality is not guaranteed.
Firewood from a local supplier is available for purchase, on site, by the honor system. The price is 20 dollars per wheel barrow filled to the height of your choosing.
Provided conveniences includes a bug light, outdoor table, heated hose, adapter to convert the camper plug to a traditional outlet, small drop cord, gold pans and cooking utensils.

What Makes Our Campground Special? Grand View Campground & RV Park is a 56-acre property located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on Highway 226 in Casar, North Carolina. The campground is adjacent to the gorgeous First Broad River. The big blue water slide is one of the main attractions to our campground for the kids – both young and old. Chilling Out Around the CampfireWe offer campsites for RVs, campers, and tents. We also rent campers with campsites. Some of our sites are full hook-up (water, power, septic), and others are basic. Most of our sites have picnic tables and grills. There’s a camping store on the premises that sells shaved ice, ice cream, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, and miscellaneous camping supplies. Adjacent to the camping store are bath houses, restrooms, and a laundry room. We encourage our guests to enjoy other activities that we offer on site such as basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, hiking, biking, arts and crafts, bingo, Basic campsite by the creek with picnic table is one of the amenities at Grand Viewswinging, seesawing, and more. And there’s plenty of room for a game of softball, soccer, flag football, dodgeball, tag, etc. Or simply relax in one of the porch rocking chairs, or enjoy watching the kids play on the water slide from one of the patio picnic tables. We love animals. Cats and dogs are welcome at Grand View provided they are kept on leashes and don’t cause problems for our other guests. Grand View Campground & RV Park is far enough away from the hustle ‘n bustle that you can easily relax, sit back, and enjoy the serenity and beauty of nature. I stayed in late November 2024. There are not many camping sites. They appeared to have electrical and water hook ups on every site. There is no sanitation except for one portable toilet. This is a quaint campground. The couple that owns the property are very nice. The surrounding area of the campground seemed very plain and did not have many activities.

I stayed at this location for 10 days. The campground is well kept and clean. The staff and the camp host were very courteous. It was a very quiet stay. The bathhouse was new and well maintained. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This campground is not well-maintained. The bathhouses are in very poor shape. There appears to be suspect, microbial growth all over the men’s side (black mold). The bath houses also aren’t cleaned on a regular basis. I was here a week and they cleaned it after I complained. They were only cleaned one time in a one week period. The campground manager doesn’t appear to care about anything. Keep it business only with this person. The sites are completely covered with leaves. You can’t even see the parking area for your site. I travel full-time. I will not be coming back to this location.

The campground is well kept and clean. The owners are wonderful and all amenities are maintained in a like new state. They are constantly improving the campground and have family friendly activities for all. Halloween is a must see event in this camp with everyone decking out their sites.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days at the beginning of October. It's very quiet and peaceful. What I didn't like was they had no activities like most other camp sites. They do have hiking trials and fishing until 8pm. The staff was friendly and very helpful but they leave at 4pm and you can't check in till 3pm. I guess there's good and bad like with all places.

I recently stayed for 3 nights with my popup in site#10. The site is a good size for a tent or small camper only. Overall we were surprised by the campground based on other reviews . In my opinion The sites are close together, poorly maintained, and most are very small. The Trading Post is nicely stocked, and open all day. The bathrooms near my site were the best part…it was modern, clean and the showers were hot with good pressure. But other than the bathrooms everything felt like it hadn’t been maintained at all. Won’t be coming back.

This place is tucked away near a river, plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, plus a nice laundromat. One of the quietest RV parks I've ever been to! The owners are nice and the grounds are well kept. Only reason it's not 5/5 is they currently lack a bathhouse.

I took my horses and grandson to camp in the equestrian campsite. The bathrooms are very clean with AC. There a beautiful creek you can ride your horses in or just play if you want.
ScoutWe went to Dan Nicholas Park earlier this year (around the spring time) and it was decent. Staff was nice, our campground was set up well, we had no noise problems and the campground was pretty much close to a bathhouse. However the one complaint is that the advertisement of this park— being that you can go to their attractions, is kind of faltered out. Nobody works at the park anymore, everything’s kind of closed— and what isn’t closed due to no work is under renovation. Nice place for younger kids! Not for teens. However all together a cheap and decent park! Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days with 2 sites for only 120 dollars, so a good deal. I would recommend for family camping trips as it’s nicely snuggled in Salisbury NC and an all around friendly campground. The bonus is it’s gated!

This is a gravel road that links up with an OHV area/trailhead/parking lot - there are at least 9 campsites, some on the right and most on the left about 100-200 feet from the creek. Being part of an OHV network, expect a lot of trucks towing bikes, 4x4s, etc. throughout the day/night. Some sites were pretty trashed, but none too far gone. Stayed Sunday night and had an unbothered time. About 20 min from Lenoir.

We took the grandkids to the Bostic, NC Jellystone in mid-July. They had a fabulous time. The RV site we had was #408. It was perfectly level and roomy with trees behind us. The bathrooms/showers are modern and spotless. We could only get a two night reservation, but that was enough. The kids (10 and 11) played so hard they were exhausted. It's a huge park with a system of golf cart trails that connect everything. The kids thought that was as exciting as the water park and the swimming pond. After having been there - I'd say a golf cart rental is a requirement. Despite the nearly 100 degree temps, the staff and other campers were cheerful and friendly. The kids made several friends. We didn't have time to do the crafts, but they looked fun. They loved the rollercoaster and minigolf. It's a good idea to bring your own food, as the options there aren't well-rated and expensive, but the ice cream was great. The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer.

I showed up after hours on a motorcycle looking for an overnight tent site. They didn't have tent sites available in the after hours check in. Luckily, John, who works maintenance, was near by. He opened up the office, checked me into a tent site and figured out how to give me a military discount even though that is not his job. John saved my night! The tent site was clean, level, grass and water and electric worked great. There was some noise from the interstate but expected in a tent. Restroom and shower facilities were clean and functional. My only staff interaction was with John and he was outstanding in customer service and going over the top to take care of getting me set up. Thank you!

I honestly love this park. It is my favorite TT park. The staff is friendly and helpful, the annuals mind their business, and the other campers are friendly. I work from home and the internet is iffy, I had to buy the campground internet and then use an antenna to make it strong enough to work, but hey, that's camping for you. The water pressure is low, so we just filled our tanks so we had enough water pressure for our tank less water heater. We are parked right on a creek and love sitting out here at night. So many things to do here as well. This is a great park and I cannot wait to return.

This place was the first place we stopped along our trip to test out the new camper we just purchased, and this place was so wonderful and fun. We played mini golf, had a view of the lake, and enjoyed a great campfire on our little porch they provided. We truly had so much fun even though we only stayed one night! Can’t wait to come back.

I chose spot D16 which is the only camping spot with a bit of an uphill ramp from the car to the camp spot. The rest lie flat. Didn’t help that I have a tent that attaches to my car so it made that difficult.

We loved the privacy, location, and serenity of this campground. We live in the country and are used to more seclusion. Typically, when we go camping, we are in a campground right next to many other campers - the opposite of home. The location was great - easy driving distance to the trails we wanted to hike and ride our mountain bikes. The only suggestion is to have a convenient place to dispose of trash easier - we had to hunt for a public trash bins (but not a major obstacle).

A lot of traffic came through especially on the weekends and everyone seemed friendly . There was some trash we noticed and glass but minimal. The road is pretty well maintained . I did see about 3 maybe 4 vault toilets , I’m not sure on the cleanliness of them . There was a creek with a decent swimming hole 2 minutes walking distance from camp . Overall this was one of my favorite spots
