Great camping beautiful and quiet
This campground is small but quiet and right on the water. They sell firewood right up the road or you can just visit the Amish for wood scraps. Favorite thing is the family of owls that inhabit the trees that you see every night.
Primitive site on the beautiful south eastern end of Stillwater. A short hike in to a great beach for swimming or paddling.
We’ve stayed here many times in tents and hammock tents. The swimming is fantastic- water is clean and clear.
Because you can’t make a reservation here sometimes there’s…

This is a small primitive site. No services, but a very beautiful spot. There’s a small fire ring, and access to the lake for swimming or fishing.
Sunday lake has always been lovely and quiet and a great place to take youth campers.
Take Stillwater rd. to McCarty road, the trail is 0.3…
Beaver Camp (or, officially Adirondack Mennonite Camping Assoc.), is a classic summer youth sleep-away camp on Beaver Lake. Sleeping in cabins with bunk beds, swimming, canoes, and a high ropes course, gathering around the campfire to end the day- Beaver Camp has it all.
Weekend and week long…
Small campground with 30+ sites. Grass sites with plenty of trees for shade.
There's little undergrowth between sites for privacy but spacious sites makes up for it. We found a site on the edge for good privacy.
Sites are well maintained. Bath facilities need maintenance.
We love cranberry lake it’s so beautiful! camping right on the lake and listening to the waves as you fall asleep.
Even in cold rainy weather we had a phenomenal time at Stillwater. Our spot had gorgeous waterfront to it, a stone fire circle where someone had left extra fire wood, and ample trees. The season had had unusually low water all over and it left a really unusual landscape on the beach to explore. We…

Beautiful state campground in the heart of the Adirondacks. Well maintained, peaceful with wonderful fishing, swimming and water access. Lots of hiking right from the park and some of the best views within a short drive and climb.

this was a nice clean campground with access to restrooms at all sites. there is a very nice hike to the top of Bear Mountain and a beautiful view of the lake. book early and get a site on the lake shore. we were on the inside of the park and there is not a lot of water access, especially if you…
Cranberry Lake is a fantastic place to get away from it all. It really has so much to offer. Many of the sites offer quite a bit of privacy from your neighbor, and are laid out nicely for tent camping. We go there to kayak so it’s also nice that there are a lot of water front sites. If hiking is…

Campground/ lake views are breathtaking! Beach front area is great for families! Sites are fairly secluded!
This spot is totally gorgeous, perfectly clean, and quiet. Room for two or three tents, two fire circles and has an outhouse. Great for swimming, kayaking, and a gorgeous place to wake up next to the water.
There are two access points to the water, the more hidden point is where you hike in for…

just returned from our annual week at the reservoir, such beauty! We saw Bald Eagles and Loons, enjoyed swimming, canoing and paddleboarding with the family. It was so peaceful with our site #37 accomodating 20 members of tge family plus 3 dogs!
About 35 spots all non electric, many on the water of the oswegatchie river. There is shower and rest rooms. A small boat launch area. A new playground in 2017. Worth a look if you like your peace and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful.
