Undiscovered gem in New Mexico

There are a lot of spots to disperse in this campground but there are a few certain spots that blow the rest of them out of the water. We arrived on a Friday with only a few people there. Saturday/Sunday was maybe at half capacity. Pretty sure that were we the only ones there when we left on…

Amazing views from 9000 feet

This first-come, first served National Forest Service campground has three areas, not including the group area. One area is for horse campers and is right next to the trails that enter into the Pecos Wilderness. Finally, there are lower and upper camping loops. The campground is at the end of the…

Weekend across NM

I really like the subtle Ed’s of the campground. While driving in it doesn’t look like much, but it’s quite large once you pull in. Although there is some amount of traffic noise, it get quieter as you move deeper into the campgrounds.

The amazing canyon view is jaw dropping, however that…

Tight and uneven

Close quarters and sights are not very level. Fairly expensive for not having a pool.

I didn't expect to Camp here but it was the same price for day use for overnight camping. I was determined to get to Herman's Peak and when I got down, I already had a site cuz I had paid the eight bucks. Smell of the fires in the crackling, the stream running in the echoing through the canyon…

Great Base Point for Santa Fe Attractions

Friendly staff. Clean grounds and bathrooms. Urban location that has bus stop right outside that takes you downtown to Plaza for $1 senior or $2 regular all day pass.

Always a great place!

We came here right when the season started and we’re one of the first ones to check in. The camp host was very friendly and helpful!

We stayed at site 13 in loop 1 and it was very clean, close to the bathrooms which were vault toilets that were clean. There are two water spigots in walking…

Rustic Camping along the Rio Grande

Camping in the Gorge! Several sites available all along Route 570. We stayed at a primitive area right at Taos Junction. Clean bathrooms—great camp host. Very hot during the day so make sure you have some shade, no shelters. Beautiful camping right next to the river!

Mostly a fun experience!

We typically come up to Fenton Lake once a year and last year was fantastic however this year the park rangers aren’t that friendly (or that helpful). For instance, my father-in-law came up for a day but the power went out all over and didn’t have access to an ATM to pay the $5 day pass. They…

Cool weather tall trees

At first we were unsure our 28 foot rig would work out, but it did. This is a pretty, very natural campground where you are amongst and amidst the trees. Jemez Falls is a relatively short hike from the campground, or you can unhook and drive to the parking lot at the trailhead.

Total experience

At first you think oh no, it’s just a parking lot. You pull into your periphery space because you did reserve, and as you set up, you realize that all in front of your door there is open space. Trees, wild flowers. Maybe the stream.

The other campers come here as often as they can. They have…

Accessible with some trash

Easy access to Highway 4 does mean car noise present, but only saw 1 other group of people while camping on a Wednesday night. Significant amount of scattered glass present in pretty much every campsite and in the fire pits with some scattered trash.

Sweet little spot

We got there during night check in but went in to talk with the camp host in the morning. She was very sweet and kind! The bathrooms are being remodeled and are so pretty! Best showers ever! The tent sites were small but nice for a night. However it was bright with a light right outside the tent.

Coronado Campground

Very nice RV/Tent park. Operated by the town of Bernalillo, New Mexico. Prices range from $10.00 per night for tents and $20.00, $30.00, $35.00 per night for Rvs. Great view of the Rio Grande and Sandia Mountains. Just 15 minutes from Albuquerque. All RV sites have electric but most have…
