LegendDecent little RV park that worked well for us as we were driving through and needed a place for the night. It’s surprisingly nice and cute considering it’s behind the Chevron and the casino.
It’s well-maintained and clean, though the (free) showers smell like cigarette smoke. The staff at the Chevron where you go to register are really nice and there are some nice things to buy at the mini mart there. You also get a coupon book for the restaurant in the casino, which we did not use. The wind kicked up from the lake overnight, but nothing too bad.
There's a dump station for use if you aren't staying there, for $10. There are trash dumpsters but no recycling.
ScoutThis is a good established campground for families with young children. There are lots of areas to bicycle and hike, the bathrooms were clean and the rangers were present. There was bear activity and a mom bear did appear around 10:30pm in our site but she left once she confirmed the bear vault was properly closed. I would highly recommend this campsite. The only two problems I would mention is that the sites are oddly close to one another and the fact that the showers are located far from the Eastern loop.

GuideI went to stay at a paid campground nearby but they said my dogs would have to be leashed, so he suggested this place for us. It has a few roads with a couple campsites. Pure dispersed camping. But beautiful, any AWD car can make it down these roads. Only about 2 miles of the main road
GuideLots of camping spots in the area, all well spaced so you can live your hermit life. But it is right next to a popular byway, so it can be noisy. Overall no complaints, would stay again!
ScoutThe ground is very flat and many areas are paved with gravel. At 7500 feet above sea level, the view is wide and the scenery is beautiful, especially the sunset view.

GuideWe couldn’t find this spot. We went up a dirt road near where it said on the map but it didn’t look right and wasn’t very accessible for our car. We ended up camping further down the road in what seemed to be a day use car park? We’re not really sure. It’s definitely worth checking in daylight hours, we struggled as it was 10pm when we arrived
GuideSites have lots of space, table, fire ring and generally level drive pads. Water spigots are not too far. Showers scattered throughout camp though not every bathroom has them. There is a small camp store that has wifi. Book far in advance to get a spot in summer.
