Awesome spot!

Passed through one night… exceeded our expectations! We are a triple axl 5th wheel and had tons of room to maneuver. Awesome family fun center with tons of games bowling, good etc.

Wonderful place to stay

We tried getting closer to the beach and were bummed we couldn't, but it turned out to be amazing! OBX is very close driving to public beach accesses (2 miles), close to so much, around the corner from the Wright Memorial. The sites are very spacious, there are plenty of fishing locations and places to walk pets. Lots of trees and some sites are very shady. We were on an end at the very front, and the trash company did pick ups at midnight which was extremely loud and woke us every time, but nothing the campground can do about that. We have a triple axl and getting in was very easy. Had plenty of room. Will go back. PS… the other Teo places we looked at were Charlie's Family EV Park and Joe & Kays. After seeing those in person, I'm very glad we didn't end up there. That's all

Nice park, but not worth the hassle

So, the park itself (inside the huge gates protecting you from the surrounding area) is nice. Decent for kids, spots are nice sizes, they do keep it clean.

The bad? Where do I begin. It's in an area where gunshots and people shooting up in broad daylight are the norm. Park employees and management are micro managers. Plus they outright lied to us about a monthly spot. And it's so beyond overpriced I can't even explain. The pet areas are an absolute JOKE. We felt so unsafe, and annoyed with employees, we left.

Beautiful!

Stayed 2 nights. Just a few miles to Hoover Dam and 20 or so from Vegas. Grounds were well kept, nice staff. Sites are a but close but VERY long. Must pay a National Park fee to even get to the RV park but we did it. Would stay again. Did not use facilities or wifi.

Great stop

Passing through on our way to CA and we're actually surprised at this place. It's so easy to get to, very open and easy to navigate, pretty view of a mountain, walking distance to grocery and gas. Very well kept. We didnt use facilities or park wifi so can't Comment on those.

Great place!

Well kept, easy to find, easy to navigate. Facilities are nice (bath, laundry, park, put put). The nicer sites have beautiful views. We walked up through there but our fifth wheel was too big so we stayed in the lower sites. Short drive to downtown Durango. Definitely would return!

No frills, clean, safe

We really enjoyed staying here. The sites closer to the park are nicer (trees etc). Laundry rooms clean, work very well. Sited are big and spacious. People that work here are so nice. Dog area and park are newer and nice. Would stay again for sure.

Decent park, but...

So, the park inside is ok. Pros: they do keep it clean, bath and laundry are nice, kids park and jump pillow are nice etc. Cons: the strees and area surrounding the park aren't just dirty, but dangerous. We heard gunshots, saw people shooting up with needles in broad daylight, homeless everywhere, urinating in parking lots etc. So don't plan on being on foot outside the park gates. Also, inside the park, their new upper management are micro managers. Don't do this, don't do that. And lied to us about no weekly or monthly spots available. People pulled in after us and paid those rates but we got stuck with $1700 for 3 weeks. A huge rip off. They triple the cost of propane, ice etc. We went through the hassle of moving to another park in the area just to be done with them. Good luck if u have dogs that need walked. Pet areas are a joke but you're not technically allowed to let your dog potty outside of those areas. Someone hollered that our male peed on a tree en route to the pet run. How do u stop a male dog from hiking? Finally, sites are super tight. And the sewer hookup for the site next to us was literally inches from OUR picnic table. All sites are that way. Your neighbors sewer hookup is right outside your front door. And if you've got a large rig with side or rear patios, don't even think you'll be using them.

No frills, safe, easy access

We stayed at the Cisco location as we were traveling through Texas. This is not an RV "park". It's more of a stop over for passing through. No amenities, no one on site. We are a 44ft 5th wheel and liked that we could pull off I20 into a spot. Full hook ups. We stayed in the back lot. The area does look run down but it's a small town, low crime. No one bothered us. We got stuck in an ice storm and our 1 night pass through turned into 3. Would stay again for passing through. If you need amenities etc This isn't the place.

Wonderful place

We spent a month here. We came in to attend the NRVTA and were bummed when the adjoining park was booked. So we chose Lake Athens, and what a treat! Location is wonderful. Right on a huge, nice lake. Very safe. Large field where we let our dogs off leash. Walking distance to the fishery. There is a restaurant on site with FABULOUS food. People are relaxed… not rude, or loud, don't complain about friendly dogs off leash etc. Sites are gravel but level. We have a 44ft triple axl fifth wheel, had plenty of room (we had an end site but the middle row Sites do appear tight). The permanent residents here are nice. Clean laundry facilities, allowed all our packages/Mail. There is a community fire pit near the play ground. Small area in the back with walking trails. Can't wait to return honestly. Didnt use their wifi as we have our own. We switch from Verizon to ATT, and at times signals were weak. Other times just fine. Hit or miss depending on utilization I suppose.

A true resort

This place is immaculate. The grounds, the sites, the pool, the property, the staff. Everything is top notch and well kept. We stayed waterfront but all the sites are so nice. Also, very close to everything (grocery, restaurants, Navarre Beach and the Pier)

A few notes: The traffic on the road the resort sits on is awful so plan ahead. Also, it's near a huge air force base which does large ammunition testing late at night. A couple nights, our camper shook. Not the resorts' fault obviously, but just know in advance if you hear loud noises, that's what it is. The pool is heated but they don't open it if it's not at least 55 degrees by 10am. Lastly, they are no longer a good sam park so no discount available.

Will definitely be back. We loved it!

Perfect place

We stayed two nights. This place is a little gem. Very private, decorated adorably. Grounds very clean, staff very helpful. We have a 44 ft toy hauler and stayed in a watefront site just steps away from a very small private beach. If you want a bi ocean beach this isn't it. Laundry room nice, bathrooms not so much, definitely need to trim trees for the bigger rigs.

Ok for a couple nights

Pros: staff that did our reservation couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Grounds are clean, camping world connected to property, all people we met here were very friendly, even the people that live here.

Cons: when I called I asked specifically about the size of sites since we're a triple axl. Was told sites are large, will have no issues. They put us in a spot on a corner where I was certain we'd get clipped. We hung safety vests off the back bumper and didn't attempt to put down side or rear patios. We just didn't fit. Pull forward or back at all and connections/slides had issues. Also, a huge electrical box within 2 ft of our front door. Also, property sits right on 75 south. Convenient but also loud traffic.

Overall the stay was fine, would have just appreciated honesty on site size.

Didn't use the bath house, wifi etc

Great Place to stay!

We stayed here for 3 weeks in December. We have a triple axl toy hauler and had more than enough space. The sites in the back, where we were, back up to a field with ponds and a trail. Nice sized and shady. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Very laid back. Could nit pick a few things but my rule of thumb on reviews is to not mention things that don't affect the outcome of our stay. Happy campers! Will be back.

Exceeds expectations!

Can't say enough about this place. The staff, the location, the park itself. This is probably the best place we've ever stayed. It's beyond clean, staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. It's December and this place is DECKED in holiday decor!Everthing was great and we were sad to leave. Our set up is a triple axl pull behind, plenty of room and easy to get to!

Review for WEST loop

Passed through for one night, stayed in West loop. Sites are big, playground closely is very new. Bath houses clean. No sewer hook up for our site but has dump station closeby. We have a 44ft pull behind so the roads getting here were a bit nerve racking but doable. Just be prepared to go slow and hit steep grades.

Great little place to stay!

We stayed here almost 3 weeks and will visit again. It's a great little stop, almost right in town. Review doesn't include any wifi services or the pool because it was closed for the season. It's also not a place that has a bunch of organized activities etc but we don't care about that. Anyway, it's easy to navigate (we have a triple axl), clean, and owners were very nice and responsive. It's very shaded and pretty quiet. Huge open area for pets, and a nice little pond for catch and release. We didn't see the bath house but did use the washer/dryer area which was nice. Literally the only gripe I can make is the playground just needs torn down. Not repainted etc, just destroyed. It's so old and has some safety concerns, so we only used the swings.

Nice place but with some downsides

We travel in a triple axl so apply that to the review. Roads getting in are super winding but go slow and enjoy the stunning views! The site we got upon arrival had electric and water, but upon pull in we noticed all the hookups are shared between 2 sites and not very close. 37 ft away to be exact. The site itself (#8) was very shady and pretty decent sized so we were kinda bummed to have to move. We moved to a full hook up site and hookups werr closer, but it sat right on leading into the Campground. We have a toddler and 2 dogs but figured people coming in wouldn't be hauling butt. We were wrong. It is noisy (arrivals at all times coming in) and nerve-racking as people drive entirely too fast. I took some of the pics standing in the road. You can See our back deck down almost touches it. The water on this site was shared too and while it's closer to the hookups, we had nearly zero water pressure. We ended up filling our tank and running off that, and refilled when needed. The pressure was so low from sharing our sink would barely stream when turned on. In the end we wish we wouldn't have moved in the first place.

the area itself is beautiful and the property is well kept and clean. We only needed 2 nights passing through.

Gorgeous spot/location

Just stayed for one night passing through and we were sad we couldn't stay longer. Sites are big and spread out. It's quiet. Walking trails all over. We had site 19 which is one of the few pull thrus. We have a triple axl, had plenty of room and the site is wooded. Only downside for longer term stays is no sewer hookup, but they do have a very convenient dump spot at entry. We will be back!

Great KOA!

We are more than pleased with our stay at MB KOA! The sites are bigger than most places we've been to, and the entire place is very shaded! We had a ton of open space since we were there late August and it was maybe 1/3 full. I imagine during busy times and holidays it's super packed.

Location is good. You CAN walk to the beach but we didn't as some of the streets between the grounds and ocean Blvd were questionable plus there was plenty of parking available.

The staff and workers are nice, responsive and do a great job. Also, they keep up with the property very well. The pool area and splash pad was nice too. Definitely keep your trash locked up overnight, the racoons and squirrels are relentless 😀
