Friendly staff and great location

There are 3 RV parks soon as you exit on Merrill Ave. This one is the 2nd one on the right. Much better then the other two parks next to it. The staff, Kim and Tammy are friendly and very helpful. When I was pulling in, seen a tow truck helping move a new resident trailer in. Any trailer linger than 30 feet might be a little much to maneuver around, but still manageable. Has everything you need, laundry, pool, and spa. If you get a site along the outside in the back of the park, there isn't to much trees, however, anywhere else in the park has lots of coverage. Anywhere in Bullhead City, you will want some shade in the summer months. You are right down the street from many shops, casinos and Safeway grocery store.

Staff is helpful and great rates

This place has full hookups and all the extra amenities you need. It was mostly full timers, but all encounter were friendly. The pool was extremely nice and the park is well kept. Daily rates are $25, weekly $150 and monthly $435. Great rates to be in the middle of Bullhead City and Laughlin. Not to hard to maneuver my 26 ft trailer around the property.

Next to river but all full timers

Only had one spot not occupied. Appears to be all full timers living here. Very hard to drive around, let alone I wouldn't dare to pull anything thru. Angles and tight turns make anything bigger than 20 feet very difficult. You are right on the river, have a beautiful park walking distance up the road and a coffee shop. Most parking was on the street for vehicles and no room to park next to your rig.

Clean and lots of full timers

Spots are a little close but manageable. Didn't stay here but wanted to update and provide recent info. Seen very few open spots but did see lots of full timers living here. People and staff were freindly. They still had a mural for military such was great to see.

Choose your view

There are multiple levels to this RV park. This place is pretty big. You can get spots right on the strip close to casinos, move up higher for a little strip/river view, or to the top if the park for river and valley views. Spots closest to strip are mostly uncovered, but moving up, there are many green areas and spots to get under a tree. With the heat in the summer, you will want some shade. Has all the amenities you want and everything is walking distance on the main blvd. Great area to walk into the mix of what Laughlin has for casinos or concerts. Full hookups, pool, laundry and walking to casinos.

Beach and regular campsite open

Visited today and seen the primitive camping area (no hookups) was currently closed. The regular campsites with full hookups was open. Maybe with weather, and less campers is the reason for closing the overflow/primitive side. Only 1 RV today and all the other sites open. Beach was crowded on both sides. Was still able to get a spot on the water and set up canopy. Still favorite spot in Laughlin/Bullhead City area.

Desert turns to tropical oasis

Driving here you wouldn't expect to see such an amazing rv park. Lots of spots around the lake. Full hookups and many ways to get a discount for nightly rates. Has fishing, pool, disc golf, casino, and gas station. Lots to do and everything you need that is walkable. Was given a free night from the rv dealership I purchased my rig from for this place. Highly recommend staying here.

CLOSED currently (7/20/21)

This campground is my favorite out of the two. The campground is currently closed. Some major issues with the road getting to the campground. Pavement pretty tore up, looks like from flash floods. Large sections were missing. Access to the other campground, Atlatl Rock is clear, open and no issues with road.

Open and beautiful surroundings

Visited today and this campsite is open. The other site Arch Rock is still closed. This area has tent and rv spots, as well as walk in tent sites along the back against the boulders. Very clean campsite and facilities. Many rv sites appeared to be almost perfectly level. Plenty of space between sites and lots of room to easily park a trailer and park your vehicle. Had many pull thrus for those large rigs. Water and electric hookups. Dump site is located at the entrance.

Clean and buy a spot

Tried to inquire some information but not able to get anybody in front office. Was told another resident that lots are for purchase. Place used to be called Red Mountain RV Resort. Each lot was customized, so not sure if you are able to purchase daily. Recommend contacting park for more info. They did have pool, laundry facilities and full hookups.

Great staff and location

Prefect midway stop between Vegas and Lake Mead. The park is extremely clean and has everything you need. The front office staff is very friendly and helpful. Full hookups, pool, spa, and a close proximity to Vegas and the lake. Boulder City is a great little town to visit and see the sights.

Every site has amazing views

This campsite is about 10 miles from the Boulder Campground and RV Village. All sites has prefect views of the surrounding mountains. All sites that are situated on the outer rim of the campground, be weary. Most have a good steep decline not to far away from the pavement. I would just be a little careful with kids or dogs. One section does not allow generators. They do have an on site dump station for rigs. No hookups though.

RV Park and campgrounds

First, there are two areas. The RV park and the campground. The RV park has all your amenities and full hookups. Store, propane and great views of Lake Mead. If you are able to reserve a rv pad nearest the lake, you will be in for a treat. All spots have full hookup and picnic table. You have full unobstructed view of the lake from these pads.

The campground is separate from the RV park, but located directly next to it…really adjoining. Separate fees go to the National Park for camping. Currently, showers are not running. Has many pull thrus for rigs, as well as tent camping. Plenty of shade and spaces are not to close.

Active/retired military on Nellis AFB

The only way to this campsite is getting onto Nellis AFB. You have to be active or retired military. This is by far the best, cleanest, nicest, best shade coverage, mostly pull thrus, tons of mature trees for shade, and the safest. You will not need to tie down anything loose around your site for fear of being stolen here. Obviously reasons being on a military base. All spaces are large and trees in between in the circle park areas. Back in along the walls and a good amount of spaces in a parking lot style. Full hookups, playground, dog park, and many many more amenities. A perfect place to stay if you are able to get on base. Sleeping in can be difficult though, after 7am expect to hear planes, helicopters or jets starting to take off.

Right on the strip, but lock up!

Large lot with little to mostly no shade. Full hookups. Saw security on bikes patrolling the rv lot, but the lot is very large and not so great area. Highly recommend locking anything you don't want walking away. Had a playground, pool and small dog area. Prefect for cheap stay on the strip.

CLOSED from June 2 - August 31

I haved visited this campsite before but have not stayed the night. The place is currently closed for summer (Jun 2 - Aug 31). My photos only reflect the drive way and entrance, as you are not able to drive inside the campsite.
They do have three campgrounds, main, group and overflow. The main sites can accommodate tent and/or rvs. Most rigs I seen during my last visit was 25 feet and smaller in the main area. Plenty of space between sites so you don't feel cramped. The overflow had 2 motorcoaches with plenty of turn around in the area and group can fit just about any size rig.

Great dispersed camping for privacy

Its a little bit of a drive (4 miles) into the wooded terrain to get to the listed campsite. However, you can camp in multiple areas along the route. Just about anytime I head towards this site, you will see people tent or truck bed camping. On occasion, I will see a motorhome or pull trailer in the area. Most of the time, they are near the front entrance, as the road and openness for large rigs are more friendly.   About a mile down the road is Sawmill trailhead. They have picnic areas and trails you can explore. Although, the current signage says not to camp overnight in the Sawmill area, you will see tents and rare times, small trailers (less than 20 feet) dispersed in the area. There are multiple nooks and private areas to disperse. As with any dispersed camping in this area or Sawmill, "No open fires." Just visited today and seen too many left over rock ring fires in the area. The usual from a long holiday weekend.

Open and best group camp site in Mt. Charleston with views!

Finally, got into this campground today. It has been closed for sometime. This campground is for groups only and by reservation, no FCFS. They did an amazing job getting this place set up. Multiple large group sites, each with water spots. All spots have great views of the surrounding area. All sites can accommodate at least 6-10 vehicles. This site is close to the wonderful Desert Overlook Trail.

Great spot for camping, kayaking and fishing

I just came through last month and seen plenty of RV's in the campsites, but I didn't see any tents. The weather may have something to do with it, as it can get quite hot along the river. The sites have hookups and amazing views of the river and surrounding mountains. There is an area for kayaks, boat dock and even a fishing pier/bridge. Didn't get the chance to fish but seen plenty of people fishing and pulling fish out the river. The campground is up a road into a small valley and extremely well maintained. The place was absolutely spotless of trash and debris. Plenty of space for rigs and the sites are not on top of each other.

Not the best Thousand Trails I been too

Granted, the only other Thousand Trails I stayed at was in Acton, CA. It was in a lush green/wooded area and it was well maintained. This place was pretty tight to move around and the spots are not the greatest size. Starts off at $51 a night but has all the usually Thousand Trails amenities. I did notice they do upcharge a few bucks if you are using 50amp. They do have full hookups and cabins on site. Area not the greatest, but you must go through the gate to get inside, so a little secure. When you are entering in the park, just be mindful that you have to turn right after a yellow mobile home parts store. The driveway is a little hidden.
