Off Interstate 44 in Eureka, this KOA campground sits adjacent to Six Flags St. Louis and provides full-service camping with RV sites accommodating rigs up to 95 feet. The property features forested terrain with a creek running through the grounds, offering both shaded and open camping areas.
Most sites include trees suitable for hammock setup, though a few like T13 lack overhead cover. Lindsey R. notes that "(Most of the other sites had great trees for hammock setups)." The campground accommodates RVs, trailers, tents, and cabins, with sites featuring level gravel surfaces and standard KOA amenities including picnic tables and fire rings.
Facilities include a heated pool, basketball court, dog park, and bike rentals. The camp store stocks firewood, supplies, and gifts. Restrooms and shower facilities receive consistent praise for cleanliness, with dedicated ADA-accessible facilities available. Water pressure runs around 40 psi, and sites offer 30 or 50-amp electrical service with cable TV hookups.
Train noise from nearby tracks occurs intermittently, particularly at night. The campground's proximity to Interstate 44 means road noise is present. Sites cluster closely together, limiting privacy between neighbors. Downtown St. Louis sits about 30 minutes away, while the Wolf Sanctuary operates nearby for those interested in wildlife viewing.
For campers seeking additional options in the area, camping near Eureka includes Yogi Bears Jellystone Park Resort at Six Flags less than half a mile north.
