Highway Noise Levels: Many RV parks in the region experience traffic sounds due to their proximity to major highways. "This is a small RV park just off I-44 about 20 minutes from Meramec Caverns. It's very close to the highway so there is lots of highway noise," reports Joel R. about Birch Creek RV Park.
Seasonal Flooding: Some campgrounds experience water issues during heavy rains. "While we were there they had a record rainfall amount and the park apparently already has flooding issues so it was flooding pretty bad," Charlie & Danielle B. mention about Covered Bridge RV Park.

Water Activities: Lakes at several campgrounds provide family recreation options. "This park is beautiful. Located about 25 minutes from St Louis. They have paddle boats and bikes and group bikes for rental. Located right next to a lake with a lot of RV and tent camping spots. Concrete Pad Availability: Many campgrounds offer level, solid parking surfaces for larger rigs. "The sites are level, and there is plenty of shade. (One advantage of being an older park.)
