Quiet peaceful place

We stopped at Crowder while we were driving cross country. The campsites are large, grass and shady. Pad is asphalt but not necessarily level . Beautiful bathhouse with 6 individual shower rooms.

A great park super convenient

We really enjoyed Wallace State Park. Very clean and well kept with friendly hosts. We stayed in campground 4. It is fairly ope with the exception of 78 - 80 which are nestled in the woods at the end. Campground 1 had lot of wooded spots as well.

Beautiful

The birds, the deer, and yes even the raccoons. They all made it enjoyable. Hiking trails are very nice. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay!

This small RV park was a great place for us to stay while visiting family in the area. The owner is very helpful. The facilities and grounds are very well maintained. There is a washer and dryer with a folding area. The restrooms and shower area is private and super clean. There is a nice picnic…

Solitude close to KC

Great MO state park, close to the city with easy access to 35 N. Trails, lakes, camping, great spot! If you don’t want/need electric, try campground 1, the spots are tucked into the trees.

Quiet, friendly hosts

The campground hosts, Dan and his wife, have been nothing but helpful and kind. They make their rounds often but never impose. Sites are level, the park is quiet, there is fishing and plenty of hiking. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Plenty of spacing between sites too!

Lovely Spring Weekend

I reserved the site for mid-April at the beginning of March. Campground opens 4/15 and we arrived on opening day. Check process can be done either in person or online upon arrival. Thursday night the campground was practically empty, but by 7pm on Friday night it was nearly full. Ranger offered a…

It's a quick stop for the night.

Not great, but I'm sure there's worse. The good is that it's straight off the interstate, the hookups seem to work and it's a fairly quiet town. The bad is that there's very little room between pads and except for some aging picnic tables, no amenities. No reservations and no staff, just a drop box…

A great getaway

I’ve camped here in a tent as well as a travel trailer and it’s great either way! Nice camping spots, generally a very quiet campground. The campsites are a bit of a hike from the lake but there is lots to do when you get there. Paddle boats, a beach, several playgrounds for kids, fishing, a…

Fun Labor Day weekend

Thousand Hills SP was great. Huge swim beach, lots of trails, pavilions, playground equipment and beautiful views. Park has a full service marina where you can rent kayaks or fill your boat with gas. It also has a restaurant. Restaurant was not a little more upscale. I wouldn’t show up in flip…
