Nice place, well off the beaten path.

Way back off of a gravel road... There's at least two pull-offs that I've seen, I'm sure there's more. Disperse camping no facilities but it's nice back here... Fire pit... Not much company & free

Nice park

Nice Park, however... Showers could be cleaner. In our 10 day stay, not once did i see anyone clean showers or bathrooms. We also had a putrid smell, septic tank or something. Most of time no one in front office booth and got our continued stay info all wrong and caretaker was rude about it cause…

Tuck away quiet lake campground

Smaller, older park with limited hookups but beautiful scenery- is off a marina so is a wonderful place if your family has a boat as well. Could be more difficult for larger rigs to level or find the convince of private campgrounds. Has limited outhouses and bathroom but if you love quieter spaces-…

Quiet camp ground

Good campground not much for kids has a out dated swing set not in great shape that’s the only reason for not 5 stars. Shade was adequate lot of permeant and monthly spots. Water park close by (5 minute drive) that was great for the kids on a hot day. Camping spots was all nice and level. looked…

Easy going in Campground 1

I’ve never been to a campground so finely manicured. The grass is short and the roads are in great shape. Campground 1 has a boat ramp and easy access to river sits. Some of the sites are a little crampy, but if all you’re doing is cooking and sleeping, you’re as good to go as a crunch wrap…

Great campsite!

Campground 1 is beautiful. Keep your food stored safely as we saw 5 skunks, 4 raccoons, 1 weasel and a partridge in a pear tree. They're all pretty bold about stealing food.

Quick, easy, clean.

We are staying here overnight on our way to another final destination and this place is super clean and well taken care of. The spaces are not on top of eachother and offer very easy back in parking with proper choices on hookups. We also preferred a not so wooded site and they accommodated us…

Above average Missouri lake state park

Worth the trip up from US 60 if you’re driving E/W, standard MSP rates and setup. There’s a campground on the lake and and a campground up on the ridge. We’ve stayed on the ridge twice, and on a weeknight or any night in the off season, you can nearly have the place to yourself. On a Monday in…

Great Primitive Camping Week

Each year I travel to the area to shoot professional fireworks for the 4th of July. I have recently taken up primitive camping (late in life, but love it now) and this campground provided a wonderful experience to accompany my favorite time of year. We found an absolutely beautiful spot along the…

Cozy little campground

Not big but definitely good for a stopover on a cross country trip. Only here one night but seems quiet and cozy.

Neat campground

Pros: Right on the Mississippi River. Full hook ups. Beautiful state park with awesome trails and visitor center. Cons: Sites are tight along the river. Train goes right behind the campground, be warned!

This is really an under developed campground. There are only about a dozen campsites even…

Quiet & Relaxing Weekend

We had plenty of shade & space between sites. Very clean site. Full hookups with a bathhouse fairly close. Paved roads for bike riding & close to the lake for swimming, kayaking, etc. Playground for the kids nearby as well. They had some sort of eagle program they put on for kids/families…

Really Nice

A really nice smaller privately owned campground that still has all of the perks. Pool, clean bath house, ice, fire wood, etc. Bordered by a spring branch and just a mile from Clearwater lake access. Has several cabins and one RV for rent. Tall pines and cottonwood trees throughout. Owners are…
