Our family at The Jubilee Homestead is looking forward to another great camping season in 2023! This small hobby farm is where I (Esther) grew up and now my husband Joel, our four children, and my parents, are developing it into a self-supporting farmstead and event venue as we raise chickens, rabbits and Nigerian dwarf goats, and grow a pick-your-own elderberry field. Our oldest son loves to plant and manage a small market garden with our campers in mind, so depending on when in the season you come, you may find some garden treasures to take home!

Lovely place and people!

We are excited to go back to the Farm! Wonderful atmosphere and if there are any hiccups the hosts are super reasonable and kind, great communication. They gave a warm welcoming and tour right away then left us to our peace. All animals who were out and about were friendly. The grounds were kept very tidy and well put together by any farm standard! I felt very safe letting my 5yr old run around with the other campers and be around the animals.

Peaceful and relaxing

We spent two wonderful nights at this homestead farm. We loved the goats, chickens, geese, and the cats. We are not cat people but they had a newly acquired kitty that stole our hearts and entertained us. We laughed and got some great pictures for our family who won't believe we had so much fun with this kitty. It was so nice having a fire in the fire pit with limitless amounts of firewood.  We also had farm fresh eggs for our breakfast and they were the best. It was so nice to just be in the moment of farm life and relax. If you like farms, animals, quietness, and a unique place to get away, then book a stay here. The owners are also authors. We bought their first two books in the series. Started reading the first book and it is one of those "wow" kind of books. We would stay here again for sure!

Quick Overnight

We stayed here after a wedding en route to Duluth/Superior. Quiet, peaceful night. In the morning, we walked around briefly to say hello to the goats and chickens and to pick a few apples.

Barn side

Was a nice relaxing time. We had the Barn Side site and a pull in site, lots of space. If you have children plenty of space for them, with the play ground just across from the site. Would definitely recommend.

Peaceful and quiet!

We decided to try out our new tow vehicle by going somewhere close to home. We found Jubilee and we’re we pleasantly surprised! We happened to be the only one there that weekend late in the summer. Spending our time walking the property, having our old lab get close to the goats getting a look at the great old entertainment barn area (huge and well lit!) It was very peaceful and I loved the solitude. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful

I stayed for a few days in my campervan and had a lovely experience. Esther and Joel are awesome and I’m looking forward to diving into their books! Spending time with the goats was a therapeutic experience and I had half the mind to take one with me. 😂 I was grateful for the available water so late in the season and it tasted great! The outhouse is so homey and clean that it’s comical. I’ll be back to join in on community broom ball in the barn with magical lights! Overall such a safe and peaceful atmosphere, great for introverts and extroverts alike. It was my first stay at a homestead and it will definitely not be my last! 🥰

Amazing Experience

We had a great time at Jubilee Homestead! The location wasn’t too far from our location in Edina which was a convenient hour and a half drive away. Once we got there we were greeted by our hosts Esther and Joel, and Esther gave us a tour of the property and gave us some great insight on how everything came to be and the vision they had for the future which made the trip so much more special knowing that we got to participate in such a special place. Before the night had begun we had seen the animals and understood where everything was, we had plenty of firewood throughout the night which they provided free of cost. In the morning we were able to go and pick some berries, grapes, apples and an egg that was hatched and went down to the market they gathered and cut up some fresh tomatoes and had a great breakfast off the land itself it was such a great experience. Definitely recommend grabbing something from their store they have healthy choices of elderberry juice and some options for the outdoors like lip balm and insect repellant. If you’d like to know more there is also a published book called The Archangel published by the hosts which tells you a little more about their family and their journey here. Aside from all of this they have an amazing barn for venues! It’s breathtaking 10/10!
