Best Campgrounds near Erhard, MN

This park features fishing in Whiskey Creek, (stocked with rainbow trout, crappies, and sunfish), picnic area, children's playground, semi-enclosed shelters, campground area with full hook-up and tent sites, two camping cabins, softball fields, frisbee golf, volleyball area and a children's zoo, which includes buffalo, whitetail deer, peacocks, and golden pheasants. Site had picnic table and fire ring.

Camping with the whole family so there may be some familiar rigs from other reviews of mine.

Wide and long pull through sites that are big rig friendly with a picnic table and fire ring at each site. Restrooms with showers in the campground as well as a laundry facility. There is also a swimming pool and playground. Dump station is also provided for registered campers. Additionally, there are horseshoe pits, paddle boats, and hiking/biking trails.

Restroom and shower facilities onsite, some lakefront campsites and some that are not. Public boat launch, sandy swimming beach, picnic shelters. WIFI is provided. There is a dump station, playground, nature trail, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, and a fish cleaning station. Great place to go kayaking!

General: RV style camping on Pomme de Terre Lake and Kenny Lake. Many sites are lakefront or have a view of the lake. We were one of the few (if not only) non-seasonal campers at this campground. 

Site Quality: Our site was located directly behind the store/office but had a view of the lake. Parking was on grass. The site was level and had an electric hookup. A wooden picnic table (in good shape) and a fire ring complete the site. When I called to make a reservation, I asked for a non-electric site but was told the primitive sites are far from the restrooms. I’m glad we settled on an electric site as the primitive ones, besides the distance from the restrooms, would also only be suitable for tents. 

Bath/Shower house: Reasonably clean but I’ve seen better. Two showers, two toilets, and one sink. The shower had hot water and good flow, but it was cramped with little room to get dressed (plus the showers are located right inside the door, impeding privacy. 

Activities: All the activities you would associate with lakefront camping. None of these applied to us but it was a good overnight location for passing through. Several speed boats zoomed by on the lake, and I imagine that on a summer weekend, the boat traffic would be much increased. There is a fish cleaning station. There are nice docks with benches to enjoy the view of the lake/sunset. 

This campground is not our preferred type of camping – no privacy between sites but on a weekday toward the end of August, it was very quiet (but still HOT). We appreciate that we were assigned a lakeview site as not all of them are.

Big event, we're lucky to find his space open. campground completely full , thousands of pickups and cars. Level sites with cement pad. Some pull through most back in. Amazingly, very quiet at night.

Lovely campground with sites along the river and in an area closer to the office and showers.   That area is rather tight, but adequate.  

Good walking trails.

This would be a decent campground if it wasn’t for the other city park visitors in the camping area. It’s supposed to be for registered campers only but they allow non campers to fish the river and they abuse that privilege and park their vehicles in front of campers and some even set up a bbq in vacant campsites. There were a couple of teens selling chips and walking through campsites. We felt uneasy about non campers wandering around Most sites are uneven, it’s ok for a one nighter

We opted for what the staff person told us were more level sites instead of those overlooking the river. Although our site was level, the spaces were closer together. Fine for an overnight stay. Have not checked the bathroom facilities yet, but they do stay locked, a plus.

I was lucky enough to get a spot far under the trees. It was quite private and even though it was labor day weekend, it was quiet and peaceful. Good cell service, I was able to work on Friday via my hot spot. The campground is well maintained and the trail had just been mowed. Unfortunately there are stickers and poor tuck found a number of them. We still had fun.

Nice, new rv park. Not far off I 94. Spent 1 night, but slept well due to no noise. Golf cart rentals, and trails from the park.

Would definitely recommend.

The convenience and price can’t be beat. For $35 a nice asphalt pad, big grassy site right on the river. Sure there’s some road noise but $35! Very clean bathrooms that are for the overnight campers only, big playground, ball fields, plenty of space to roam and walk. A beautiful city park. We were in town the same night as a street fair down town so we took an $8 Uber and had a great time shopping hundreds of local vendors and food trucks. Pretty awesome Fargo experience all around.

We were in town for a weekend event and Andes RV Park was outstanding! Friendly service was in the easy check-in and checkout process. It has outstanding trails that they use in the winter time for cross-country skiing with tons of outdoor activities. Brand new restroom and shower facilities with laundry.

There are gorgeous sites well spaced and lots of shade. Trails to bike ride around. No motorized vehicles allowed so it's quiet. Road in was good gravel. Picnic tables, fire rings and pit toilets. $10 / night. Great find.

Wonderful office staff, very kind and helpful. We intended to stay at the tent site but when we arrived we saw a lovely cabin overlooking the lake and decided to give ourselves a treat. It was very clean and comfortable. You can tell they work very hard to make the interior inviting and the kitchen well supplied with nice kitchenware. Highly recommend.

Never visit pelican rapids park or the town. Ther is ppl in the park with hand radio like the police ther acting an impersonation of law. 1 short person 1skiny tall ,1 wanabe kid posing as a firefighter an 1 fat girl acting like she owns an like she is model.. ther ppl hiding in normal clothing.. Too all be careful not to catch a felony charge over dum. Ppl
