McGivern Park Campground

County-managed McGivern Park Campground sits along the Crow Wing River with drive-in and boat-in access options, though campers should expect rough road conditions reaching the sites. The campground features well-spaced sites surrounded by large pine trees, with an old-fashioned hand pump providing drinking water rather than hookups. Firewood comes at no additional cost.

Basic amenities include picnic tables, restrooms, and designated fire areas, with both pets and alcohol permitted on the property. Cell service reaches the area, making it accessible for those needing connectivity. For campers preferring different amenities, Old Wadena County Park offers an alternative experience nearby.
