Managed by Minnesota State Parks, Last Creek Kayak Site is a free, boat-in dispersed site along Lake Superior's North Shore, accessible only by water. No roads reach it. The site includes a picnic table and allows campfires and pets, but campers should arrive prepared: bug nets, insect repellent, and a bear rope are practical necessities. Paddlers exploring campgrounds near Schroeder will find this one of the more remote options in the area. Early spring or late fall tends to reduce insect pressure significantly.
