Quiet, shady park

Although a little inconvenient, it is a nice clean park.  The staff will help you back into you spot, which are all perpendicular to the street.  All the roads to the area are narrow and low hanging wires.  Be careful as you approach.  Most of the NOLA activities are on the other side of town.

Right on the river!

We stayed here one night passing through and were so impressed with how clean & quiet the place was. Right on the river with a dock, gazebo and fire pit. Sites have full hookups and some have picnic tables. The restrooms & laundry facilities were closed for renovations at the time.…

NOLA

As stated in other reviews this KOA is close to town and very convenient. But it's noisy. Traffic, trains, airplanes and construction noise, you've got it all here. Bring earplugs if your tent camping. The staff is super friendly though and the amenities are very nice.

Diamond in the rough

The lady at the front desk was nice. She told us where to go to see the garden district and the French Quarter. They only took a few minute drive to get there. This campground is in a neighborhood. Seems odd, but it works. They have night security. With the AC on, it was pleasant. Our site was…

Beautiful sunsets!

The views (and the sunsets) here can’t be beaten and most of the sites were right on the water. If you like to fish and are in a fully contained RV, you might find this place ideal to get away from it all. We travel in a 17-foot campervan, so this does not fit the profile of the type of camping we…

One of our favorite parks to camp

Very reasonable rates, great fishing, Ken is very friendly and helpful.  The only thing that it lacks is water hookups on each tent site.  The new fishing pier is awesome!  Just make sure you check the weather to see if there are any coastal flooding warnings.  We weren't aware of this on our last…

Reasonable rates

Reasonable rates. Water front camping on the bay. Good fishing from the bank or boat. Has playground, boat landing, bathhouse and a new fishing pier. Has water, electric, sewer and WiFi. RV sites are a little narrow but can accommodate any length. Golf carts allowed with no extra charge.

Close to downtown!

This was a nice KOA near the French Quarter. The KOA offers transportation to the French Quarter for free! It was such a nice perk! The pool is very nice and the sites are clean, level and spacious. We enjoyed our time here. Take time to explore the area. Shopping is nearby.

super close to everything

This campground is nice because its super close to everything. I stayed there while I was doing some community service in New Orleans, and it was very convenient. It's about 25 minutes from the French Quarter.

If you're visiting the city, make sure to check out the parks, some cool cemeteries,…

Nice place to stay

The park is nice and quiet. Staff is nice. The grass and grounds are kept up very well. There’s picnic tables and fire pits. Laudromat is on site. RV spots are large. The playground and bathroom could use a little attention though.
