If for any reason you reach the Crescent City and can’t find a suitable spot to park your mobile camping domicile, then have a look here at French Quarter Public Parking, located just a short walking distance from all of the revelry on Bourbon Street. And hey, while $5 for 10 hours or $10 for 24 hours isn’t a bad rate for a car, it will run you $50 to park your RV/Camper here in the center of The Big Easy, although I can’t imagine you’ll find a slice of pavement that is cheaper and that provides easier access to all of the fun that awaits you just a handful of blocks away. That said, be weary of the inherent security concerns with being parked this close to the center of a main city center that is known for its fair share of vandalism and theft.
What’s nearby? Lehman Park & Playgrounds as well as Marais Playground are just a short stroll away, perfect for taking your furry four-legged friends for a jaunt. G&M Electric Pump is less than a block away in case you have any engine or maintenance issues that you need remedied. French Quarter Food Mart and Gloria’s Grocery are small neighborhood operations that will provide you with basic sundries and groceries in a pinch, in case you don’t want to move your vehicle.
Local dining options include: I-Tal Garden or E’Co for Vegan options if that’s your thing, Fritai for some decent Haitian food in a cozy setting, Sidney’s Snowballs for some cold relief on a hot and humid day, Treme Coffeehouse to get your caffeine on or Candlelight Lounge for some nice stiff martinis.
