Went for a primitive campsite with some guys. Great sites with plenty of room between them. You can easily set two or three tents without having to worry about disturbing other campers.
It is a good place. Good sam discount made it about 31.00 a day with full hookup. Would come again. Big rig friendly. Pet friendly. Outside the city and the battlefield.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stopped one night en-route from Dallas back to Tampa. Arrived in rain at sunset, but found site and back-in was easy. WiFi ok for email but not enough to stream. Had 2 bars in both Visible (Verizon) and Cricket (ATT). Want to come back, looks like a nice park.
This park also has the best bathhouses we have seen. Large swimming area, but it is down the rode a few miles at the marina. A lot of boat traffic from fishing. They do not allow sking.
Great Lake for kayaking. Nice big fishing pier. Great fishing for big bass and catfish along the levy.
Kids had a blast walking to the reservoir and hiking some trails. Will go back! One of the friendly park groundskeepers came and said hello when we arrived and introduced himself.
This park is quiet and very clean. It has 2 playgrounds for children and a small swimming area that is roped off. Fishing can be excellent. Sites 3,4,5 are oriented where you see the water when you open your door. We were in site 4. Sites 4 and 5 have a 25x10 foot deck extending from rv site-very nice. The sites by the water have excellent places to dock your boat by your camper.
We car camp and this was a great boondocking spot for us. Flush toilets, hot showers, and $1 (coin) laundry machines were clutch. Facilities were very clean. The water and electricity at the campsite were also helpful. Lots of RVs here, so this location is suitable for whatever kind of camping you’re looking to do.
Primitive camping is $15, RV hookups/bathrooms/laundry is $22, but they offer a variety of discounts. If you want visible water, ask for campsites 36-40. There are a few short trails that we walked, but we didn’t explore too much. We definitely recommend this campsite.
Spotless. Wi-Fi was decent and ATT two bars. I had water/electric site that backed up to the woods and trail. Felt private and spacious. The lake is beautiful. Small town of Delhi is nearby and has gas/grocery store. Don’t forget to visit PP World Heritage site just a few miles up the road.
