    Nice KOA

This KOA was easy to find by following our GPS. We checked in about 45 minutes prior to their 1:00 PM check in time and they didn’t even mention us being early. We decided we didn’t need an escort to our site as it was near the office. We proceeded to deluxe-patio pull-through site H-4 with FHUs. The utilities were nicely placed in the middle of the pad. Water pressure was good at about 50 psi. This site has plenty of shade as does most sites in the campground (CG) due to mature trees, so we did not put out Starlink. We got 4 bars LTE on Verizon and used our MiFi versus Starlink. Site H-4 has a utility box on the yard side, so we had extra space between the adjacent site. They have a decent sized dog park with an agility set up. This KOA has a lot of amenities and lives up to a Holiday KOA rating. The dog park is a nice size. They have a decent laundry room behind the office with 4 washers and 8 dryers. It’s$2.50 to wash and$1.50 to dry. They have 2 fishing ponds. The large one you can keep 2 fish for$20 and the small one is catch and release. There’s some traffic noise from I-65 and surrounding roads. Our main reason to visit the area was to visit the National Corvette Museum. We enjoyed our two night stay.

A must stay to enjoy that KOA feeling

After completing the warranty work at Camping World, we enjoyed this fabulous campground for two months.

The vibe is great, the campground is clean, and the office staff is fabulous. We enjoyed playing putt-putt golf and fishing in the catch-and-release and paid ponds.

Be sure to check out the Flight Museum across the street, the Corvette Museum, and the friendly people in the area.

The only downside is at night due to the road noise from the I-65/I-165 split.

    Decent

This campground has tried to cram as many people into it at one time as possible.  Sites are very close to each other that you could hear your neighbor burp or fart at any time day or night.  Otherwise, the campground is clean with good amenities.  If you are lucky enough to get a lake side spot, the views are good, but again, you will have neighbors.

I once gave this locarion a 5 star review that I've since deleted. This was our 3rd visit. With new owners, much cutback on staff and available hours for activities. Why oh why do you close a main attraction, go carts and pizza, during the week and cut hours of go carts when they ARE open??? I'd been communicating with stsff and had expressed our grandson's excitement to return to the go carts. THAT was the perfect opportunity to tell me o substantially reduced hours. This campground caters to seasonal campers. They don't all respect quiet hours are zipping around on golf carts partying. We won't return.

    Clean but noisy

Nice campground but very loud due to interstate. Made it less than enjoyable sitting by the beautiful fire pit provided. Had higher expectations for KOA based on other experiences but should have researched to know how close the highway was.

Convenient to stores and restaurants. Laundry open 24/7 ($2.50). Campstore has most of what you need but you are less than a couple miles from most other places.

Campsites are long and ideal for bigger rigs, but our little 25’ would have been too far back from the pad in order to reach the sewer, even with two hoses, so we disconnected the camper and parked the TV behind the camper. This enabled us to parked the camper on the most level part of the gravel spot without leveling boards and be able to step out on to the concrete pad. We are only here a couple days, so we’ll pump out before leaving. An inconvenience but not a deal breaker.

Looks like a new pool being built near the front!

    Nice location and views

Very nice campground right on the water.  D013 is 20 yards uphill from shore.  Very nice gravel or concrete spots.  We were able put kayaks in right at our campsite.  Great views at sunset and sunrise.  Located about 35 minutes from Mammoth Cave.  We used it as our base to go visit the National Park.

Bathhouses are good 3.5/5 because showers are a little inconsistent - went from cold to scalding to a point that you can't stand under it.  Only other issue was that the fire rings are located right under the edge of your awning.  Your choice is to not pull in the whole way and block up to get it level or pull in so its level and make a very small fire.

    I will stay there again.

    Convenient for Fort Campbell

This MWR (morale welfare and recreation) campground located just outside of the South Gate of Fort Campbell is a convenient stay if you are visiting or working on fort campbell. It is not up-kept as well as it could be. They will mow the grass near the camping areas often but with bagless mowers that blow cut grass all over your stuff (like your hose and hookups.) the creek and bridges crossing them are falling apart and unsuitable for vehicle traffic. I have stayed near four different Army posts at RV parks and this one ranks the lowest.

Very nice place right off the highway

While visiting family in Scottsville we were in need of a close by RV park for our 40’ rig. This was the perfect spot for us. With plenty of pull through sites we were able to pick from (since we came early due to forgetting the time change!) The park is very well maintained, the owner was very accommodating and helpful, especially since we had to add an extra night last minute! There is a beautiful pool, playground and basketball court for kids! The place is also pet friendly. There was a cute area inside with a TV, dvds, and books to read or take one and leave one. Also a laundry area inside. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area! It’s also fairly close to Nashville and bowling green!

    Right off the interstate

It’s an easy right off the interstate place. Plenty of TT friendly gas stations around it. Good for an overnight when passing though. My site was slightly uphill where I had to park to reach the water hookup. The water hookup is very close to the ground and leaked for me. Made it very hard to connect the hose and pressure regulator. Used all of my 25 foot hose to reach my connection. Good for a short overnight, but wouldn’t stay more than that.

    Wow! What a great park

One of the nidest COE parks we've found. Water & electric were great. The site we chose, #59 didn't have sewer, but made up for it in sheer beauty. No wifi, but ATT & Verizon were both very good. Did not try OTA TV, as we usually don't. This is only the second COE park on Nolan Lake we tried, the other being WAX, which we also loved, and both are outstanding in our experiences.

Gravel, level sites on a terraced hillside, with lake views for most all.

This is definetele on our "return to"list.

Worst camp with a nice view?

So I love us army Corp of engineers sites normally. But this ain't one. It's a glorified RV park for friends of the park attendants. Besides check in not a single park staff spoke to us and the attendants would drive up to the RVs next to us to chat for hours with their friends. Ignoring everyone else. There is no drinking water besides the tap in the bathroom if you can even reach it through the mud and trash all over the bathrooms. No joke portapottys are cleaner than this place. the tent pads are covered in jagged rocks so be prepared to clean the site before using. And don't think about trying the beautiful grass patches shown in the pictures as they are angled to make the spots look good. When in reality they are steep drop offs. But hey nice views of the lake when party boats aren't zooming by at midnight

Nice option near Fort campbell base

We brought our camper here to visit family living at the Fort Campbell base, I don’t like that you can’t reserve a spot ahead of time especially since it was an 8 hour drive, but thankfully we did find a spot. The bathhouse area was nice and clean even though we didn’t need it, there were some fields to play around in there and we loved seeing all the deer there! At $25 a night for full hook up this is a pretty good option, would have liked to have had a little more space between campsites but We’ll definitely be back.
