Nice campground. Very few tent only - mostly RVs/trailers. Washrooms basic but clean. Large site under trees with mix of sun & shade. Grassy area for tent. Access to water close by. Large playground for kids. Campground host had firewood. Picnic table & firepit with grill rack in good…

Very clean campground, lots of shade trees and full hook ups
Great campground for families. There is a huge playground with tons of activities for all ages, the boat is an awesome thing to see. I saw a ton of trails along the main road but we didn’t have time to check them out. This was such a fun campground to stay with our kiddos.
Got a beautiful location right by the lake, easy check-in. Bathroom to relocked which made for some uncomfortable moments.
We stayed here just one night but it was exactly what we need. We were driving east out of central Colorado and wanted to get past Omaha to avoid traveling thru at rush hour. This is about 15 minutes east and just a couple minutes off of I80. Super quiet, nice spacious sites, and very clean.
Vibe: Relaxed summer lake fun.
Facilities: Slightly dated but adequate
General spots: Good size, good spacing, not private. Large cottonwood trees offer good shade on lake side spots.
Our site: 10. Close to the swimming area. Not far from bathrooms.

This campground is conveniently located at a boat ramp. It has 2 primitive campsites and a vault toilet. The campsites had signs that said $15. The path to the campsites was in rough shape, but the grass on the campsites appeared recently mowed.
Great spot for an overnight! Restroom is clean w/ pit toilet and tp. Wifi is only accessible in the upper area of the grounds. Site number 13 is the most cozy as there’s no one next to your rig. Firewood is at the right of the entrance. Potable water available!
We only were here 1 night, a stopover. The place is clean & quiet, lots of families.
Only thing we had time for was swimming in the lake, which was refreshing. Maybe we return in the future.
This is a nice, quiet spot. Lots of trees. The sites are easy to access, and it was not full despite being a Friday in July. It is a good price for full hook up, restrooms and showers. Plus, collected fees go to local 4-H and FFA groups.
Spent the weekend using one of the RV sites on the property. There were 30 AMP electric hookups at the sites. The sites were very spacious and allowed plenty of room. There was a water fill station and a dump station near the entrance to the park. You paid $15 per night for the site and used a…

Beautiful, clean sites and bathrooms are very clean and new. Site had electric and water. Nice set up.
We’ve stayed at Hitchcock several times since March of 2021. Our longest stay was for a week and our shortest was for one night. It’s FCFS and they accept cash or check upon check in. You can also pay by credit/debit card if the camp store is open. Ice and fire wood are available for sale. Tons of…
It was a great first trip into the area! Learned about the Loess formations, Saw a lot of wildlife and took a hike to the pond. Excited to check out more challenging hike spots in the future
Great location. Very nice campground. Large spacious pull thru sites. Extremely clean bathrooms and showers. We stayed twice, westbound and eastbound. Very friendly, nice people.
