Horrible toilets. Rude workers. Sketchy town. No camp store. No water. Nice rocks at beach. Creepy abandoned places at beach.
Nice quiet place to get away to. Sights are large. Good size lake for fishing or Kayaking. Large beach area for kids. Graded shallow so they can go a good distance into the water. Scuppernong trail is less than 5 minutes down hwyZZ.
The channels are always swell. People always respectful with their boats. Very beautiful place to live.
We stayed here for 2 weeks. The lots are huge compared to other campgrounds we have been to. They have a nice gravel spot for you to park your RV or other vehicle on. We have a 25' camper and a F250 and we weren't able to park the truck straight in front of the camper or we would be sticking out in…

Well thought out campground in the middle of the suburbs. You can actually forget that you are in the middle of a very urban area. If your looking to camp near Chicago, this is the spot! Only complaint is you get locked in an hour after sunset, but still worth coming here.
Nice camp site are nice size. Over a 1/3 of the site are walk in, started on 2021. This make it hard to make a reservation for the weekend, most reserved site are book for one night.
Camp areas are pretty clear. Nicd hiking and beach close by. Great for young kids.
Great campground. Full weekend but very quiet and relaxing. Staff very nice.
This is a no frills campground with super nice people and great place to let the pups run, play, swim, and walk. The bald eagles nests are also amazing. We had water and 50amp, with a black water dump once or twice a week at your RV’s site. The huge, mowed, grassy field in front of our coach for…
We've camped here before and like it. The sites are spacious and most seem to have shade for at least part of the day. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Ours had a grill the folded in and out, not sure if all have it. The beach is great, open and lots of room to set up for the day either…

Wanted someplace close to home. Familiar with the Delavan area so was excited to find Snug Harbor. Set up went well, didn’t blow anything up! Yea! Staff was great, helped me back in. Nice Bar/Restaurant on site. Met 2 nice couples which helped with any questions. The view was nice overlooking…
My family loves coming here! The scenery is beautiful, you can fish, hike, or just relax. You're in the Chicago suburbs so it's easy to get to a store or restaurant if you need. It's close to home for us, so it's perfect for a quick camping trip. Only drawback is that it's a little pricey, but the…
If you plug Illinois beach state park into your navigation it will send you to the north entrance. No camping is available there. The campground is the south entrance which is a few miles away. The campground itself was just ok. Nothing spectacular, although bthe sunrise on lake Michigan is superb.
Well maintained park and the facilities.
