We stopped in for the night on our way west. The check in was easy and the young lady was helpful in picking us a great spot. It’s quiet and very clean! If we lived closer I would definitely come back!!!
We camped there for a long weekend. It served our needs. We were there for a rally that was held in Leroy. We didn't spend a lot of time at our campsite but when we did it was very pleasant and peaceful. We saw alot of people walking, kids riding bikes, people fishing, just good old fashioned…
Like the campground. It has a trail around the whole lake. Only problem is that the sites are not always the size they say they are. A 40 foot site might only be 20 feet.
We came on Memorial Day weekend so the campground was very full. It didn't feel too crowded though except when playing on the playground there were lots of kids and its not a very big play area. But it was fun for the kids to play with other kids.
While I wish the tent are and comfort station…
This park has very nice hiking trails and a swimming beach. The kids had a great time, and I got to kick back and relax.
Short walk from the parking lot if carrying heavy gear, but still spaced out enough to feel isolated. Vault toilets right at the parking lot as well. Next to a big grassy area and hill for group games
I live about 30 minutes from Kickapoo SP and anytime I feel I need to camp I head over. Great little campground in Central Illinois. Some pretty trails overlooking, beside, and sometimes through water. The RV sites are great for either rv, van, or tent camping with a lot of level ground at most…
Had a nice site on loop by the lake, but not on the lake. A short walk downhill though the trees. We were able to tie up our canoe there once we launched it by the concession stand. Facilities were clean and fairly spacious. The trails were lovely but the best part was watching the hummingbirds…

The spots for RVs are HUGE. The roads and nice and wide and the views are beautiful. The weather was not nice to us during our stay, but we still got to get out on the lake and canoe (Kickapoo adventures). We also took a short hike when it wasn’t raining and really enjoyed it. This park has a lot…
I’ve been camping at Kickapoo for 5 years and I love it. The campground hosts at the entrance are kind and helpful and the campgrounds have been undergoing improvements making it even more enjoyable.
Quiet, well-spaced campground with nice concrete fire rings & picnic tables. There are only a few pull-through sites and there are several spots with size limitations for campers. The park has beautiful natural meadows, an old schoolhouse to explore, and a large pond with trails all the way…
Lots of shade in old growth trees. Trails for hiking, also loop trail around Lake. Been here several times with water quality varies. Sometime water is cloudy other times not bad. Recommend filter on your hose when filling water tank.
