    Beautiful resort

Amazing pool and hot tub. Our site was paved. 40 minutes to Jackson. The restaurant was mediocre for breakfast but convenient. Overall enjoyed our stay!

    Good spot!

Spent a few days here. Inexpensive with decent wifi and 5G Verizon coverage.

Bathrooms & Showers, laundry, cafe/restaurant, even a hot tub.

    Friendly staff.

Extended my stay because it was so nice.

    It's okay

Cramped sites, over priced. They have a pool and hot tub with hot showers that were great only because we went a week without one while going through Yellowstone. We did get to watch a great thunder storm roll over us that night.

    Loved it

Loved our stay here! After a few days with no shower, etc it was so nice to stay at such an accommodating place. The grounds were clean, private showers/bathrooms to use, full hookups, hot tub, and day spa. It was so nice and we would definitely return!

Snake River RV Park & Campground

    Convenient but crowded

They certainly have all the amenities including showers, a pool, hot tub and playground. It was nice having these amenities after several days without. However the sites did not have much space between them, and we saw several questionable and possibly drunk people walking through the rv park. Not a place I would go for a relaxing time camping.

Under construction. Should be nice when done

Crushed stone sites. Very tight. No shade. Very good laundry and rest rooms. Quiet. Good views. Nice pool and hot tub. They are doubling the size with construction under way. They are honest about the construction. The town and area are nice. 40 minutes over the pass to Jackson and Teton Park. Lots of access to hiking and mountain biking.

Upscale accommodations in a rural setting!

Wish we had known more about this place when we were searching last night so hopefully my first impressions will help future travelers. Upon entering the driveway, we were greeted heartily by Jake, the owner, who was on his way out but invited us to speak with Glen, his manager. Sleepy J has five one bedroom and five two bedroom cabins and one fully accessible handicapped cabin. There is also one RV spot. RV spot has water and electric but no sewer and it should be noted is located near the dumpster, making the cabins likely a better choice! Although I did not see the inside of the cabins, the outsides looked immaculate. Rates range from $70-$200 and you can rent the entire place for meetings, weddings, etc. Great location traveling to/from the Tetons. Both Jake and Glen were very welcoming and I would definitely stay here when looking for a break from camping!

    Something for everyone!

Seven RV sites with full hookups ($32.50/nite), four tent spots, and three cabins. Each cabin has different facilities ranging from partial to full bath. Bath/shower house accessible with code. Small playground. Lots of shade trees. Janice was very friendly and helpful and said they fill up every night. Best to call to make a reservation.

    Pretty RV Park

This is a small RV Park with cabins. It is pretty but small. It it 53 miles to Jackson Hole, WY. The Good Sam site says it is 24 miles to Jackson Hole. So this could be a problem.

Cabins could be so much more

It's an hour drive to Jackson. Around 1 1/2hrs to GTNP and 2+hrs to YNP. Cabin needs a few minor details to be better. Full length mirror, towel racks, instructions on how things work like washer/dryer combo and propane stove.

    Clean bathrooms, flat sites

I stayed here late winter and it looks like half the sites are closed in the winter. In addition to rv sites they offer full service cabins, dry cabins, and yurts. The facility is quite nice. Large, clean, individual bathrooms with showers. The sites are large enough and flat, but fairly close and many sites don't have a table. They also appeared to be doing a lot of construction. Decent wifi. There is also a good sized fire pit in RV area which I enjoyed. The do allow packages to be delivered. They are about 45 minutes to Jackson through a mountain pass. If you visit in the winter, make sure to bring chains as this pass can get pretty rough. Overall I enjoyed my stay, deducting one star as they seemed pretty expensive for the sites to be so close and construction equipment every where.

    Nice RV park

It's on Wakeside Lake in Rexburg. The lake is good for boating, or if you have a paddle board that would be fun. The sites are level gravel and full hookups, 30 Amp. Most sites are shades.

Nice laundry facility, bathrooms and showers.

They have glamping tents, and cabins available on Airbnb

    Great amenities and great location!

We needed a place to stay in our van for a few nights on our way to Grand Tetons. The owners were very friendly and helpful, Randy even brought us a picnic table for our spot. It was so nice to have a hot shower for a change. The bathhouse/restroom was very clean. There is laundry on site, which was a major plus for us. Cell service is great, and WiFi is provided. They also have large RV/camper spots, tent spots, and cabins. There’s a play area for children too. We are so grateful for them having us at their campsite, and if we are in the area again we will be back!

Fly fishing outfitter and campground in one

In Swan Valley the name of the game is fly fishing. This small campground is also a fly fishing outfitter and shop. While l was just passing through and I am not a fisherwoman, it seemed to offer pretty good services if that is your thing. I pulled in after hours but fortunately the owner’s dog alerted her to my presence and she was willing to open the office to rent me a tent site for the evening. There are 3ish tent sites(one was being worked on), about a half dozen pull thru RV sites, and 3 or 4 cabins for rent. There is a central bathhouse with two full bathrooms in a trailer for everyone to share. The bathhouse rooms are electronically accessed with codes the host gives you on check in. They were really nice and clean, like bathrooms in a typical modern home, except that one had the water heater tank in it and both had space heaters on the floor to plug in(fire hazard??). The tent site I chose was at the back of the campground so I didn’t have much highway noise, and fell asleep to the sound of the nearby horses grazing. Next door on the other side is a municipal building that appears to be the home base for the sheriff. The view of the back of the office/fly shop is not very picturesque, with boats and atv’s and odds and ends laying about. There are nice trees providing shade, but there is no real privacy between sites, tents, or cabins. The grass was quite lush, so I am wondering when the sprinkler system comes on. This place works as a layover or for someone who will take advantage of the fly fishing services, but not much else.

    Jolley Camper RV & Cottages

Pleasant Family-Owned Campground for Stopover or Basecamp

Context: this is not an RV resort nor a wilderness experience.  It is a pleasant, scenic, rural highway-side campground.  We stayed in early May en route from Bozeman to Moab.  Small pleasant campground near the highway between Yellowstone and SE Idaho sights and Jackson Wyoming.  Small cottonwood shaded sites adjacent to farmland and Teton views.  Clean bathrooms with warm comfortable showers.  The campground is ideal for a stopover or basecamp for visiting the west-side of the Tetons, Craters of the Moon, and other sights in SE Idaho (or passing through on trips between the Greater Yellowstone Region and Utah).  Hookups, wifi, 5G Verizon service.  Only drawbacks, are possible wind and some highway noise.  The owners, living on-site in a beautiful farmhouse, are friendly and accommodating.  It is a trusting handshake type of reservation, payment, and communication system (cash or credit card on site).

UPDATE: as of 2023, online reservation system and payment.  Easy to use.

About 25 miles to Jackson Hole or miles to Idaho Falls.  Nice restrooms and showers.  Laundry small but clean and neat.  We spent 3 nights in overflow area nice lawn, electric and water but close to road, moved to site 15, large space fhu but 30 Amp svc. Beautiful gazebo and fire pit.  Most sites are back in.  It was old but quaint.

    Hidden Jem

Had to search Google instead of Dyrt app to find this place, and I'm glad I did. The management was so friendly and gave us really good tips on where to go and what to do around there. Right across the freeway from Bear World (super fun for kids and adults), 20 minutes from Heise (hi-see) Hot Springs, and Rexburg Rapids water park. Worth more than it costs.

    Wind Willows RV Park

    Nice park, but needs manners!

I was torn on what to rate it. The park is nice and quiet and a good majority of the people that stay there long term are wonderful. I would rate it a 5 stars on that! I stayed about 7-8 months and in the last month it went down hill fast. Double standards for a lot of campers... It honestly needs someone for the camp host that will actually be there and truly will take care of it. Not threaten to lock everyone out of the laundry room and showers all the time. Actual have a set type of rules that everyone including camp host have to abide by. They need to up their screening process, so that the RV park can be safe for children and other guests. A full grown person running around naked and screaming, isn't safe for anyone let alone children! What's worst is when complaint are filed, they let them stay... A proper maintenance crew, so when things are broken they can be fixed in a timely manner and not when the camp host feels like it. Also, the group texting is fine if there was a proper amount of manners involved. I was wondering whether or not to attach pictures of the messages and everything. I believe they have the right to know and honestly I don't think they do. I dropped the rating because yes I do believe this is a nice park and other guests help each other out, but after everything this pass month and the amount of cops doing searches and rude customer service I had to drop it down. I hope anyone who stays here has a good experience there are a lot of nice patrons. Have a nice day.

Suitable Stopover, But Limited For Kids

We recently used Westlake RV Park in Rexburg, ID as a quick stopover during our travels. It's a quaint, older campground with well-maintained facilities and noticeably clean surroundings, which we appreciated.

The campground is on the smaller side, yet the spots are generously wide, providing ample space for our RV. However, it's worth noting that our site was only equipped with a 30-amp service, which may be an issue for larger rigs requiring more power.

Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of entertainment or activities for children. This could be a drawback for families looking for a more engaging camping experience.

All in all, Westlake RV Park is a practical choice for a brief stay or a stopover, but perhaps not the best fit for those seeking a more kid-friendly environment or requiring higher power service.

    Wonderful One night stay

It was a great location. Our site was large and shaded by beautiful mature trees. Very helpful and friendly staff/owners. We had a minor issue when we got there after hours. We tested the number provided and they were super quick to get back to us and help us problem solve. The only thing I didn’t love was that we had to share an electrical juncture box with our neighbors. So there was one 50 amp and one 30 amp on the box. They had already plugged into the 30 which we needed also. Neither of us had a dog bone attachment. I think maybe that just needs to be specified when booking and offering full hookups. We got the situation sorted because of kind neighbors and helpful staff. I would definitely stay again though. My kids loved playing in the lake.

    Great little campground

We just needed a over night stay and this place was perfect. Easy getting in and out with a 40ft tow behind. Very level open spaces. It is all gravel and that of fine by us. It has a lake view that is beautiful. Very clean restrooms. And staff was very accommodating, helpful and very friendly. I would love to stay longer but it was only a quick over night stop.

    Clean but noisy

Stayed with a tent for one night. The tent sites are well taken care off. Unfortunately, the park is right next to a very busy and therefore noisy highway. Trucks are blasting by all day and night. Lake is not open for fun activities because of the pandemic. Not their fault but wasn’t worth it staying there.

Well taken care of, but no playground

A very simple RV park, nice shade, easy to access beach on a manmade lake. Staff was super helpful. My only complaint was that their website says there's a playground and I could not find one. My kiddo was entertained enough by the water though so it worked out.
