ScoutWe stayed the first night in the glamping tent 'Eagles rest.' We were thankful for the space heater that was in there (Stayed here May 17/2025) it got down to just above freezing that night. It was SO COZY though!! There were lots of blankets, free drinks upon arrival and free coffee at an adorable upscale coffee hut on property. The bathhouse was very clean, with a fun games room and washers and dryers. We hiked close by the next day, ate in town, loved it so much we booked in last minute again cause we didn't want to leave. The manager Biz put us in a king suit with a large picture window facing the Tetons 😍. We were spoiled rotten and so thankful for every moment.
ScoutWe needed a spot to spend the night on our way back to Montana. Our timing worked out for the Idaho Falls area and Wolverine Canyon came up as an option. It’s all paved road until you get to the mouth of the Canyon, then it’s a well maintained gravel road. A few washboard spots but easy to tow a trailer even 30 ft long. Most camp spots are right off of the main gravel road. Saw several camps set up over Memorial Day weekend, and we didn’t have a problem finding a spot for the night. Lots of spots have some wear and tear from target shooting, previous camping, ruts in mud, etc, but more than suitable for a boondocking setup. Be sure to pay attention to BLM boundaries, as there is some checkerboard ownership with private lands and the fence boundaries aren’t always signed. Beautiful setting! Lush, green, rugged rock cliffs along the drive.

GuideEasy to find. Short drive from the campground to some restaurants, gas stations, grocery store, etc in the area. There are 2 bar/grills walking distance from the campground. Has a Heated pool. Fenced in dog areas. we were just there for one night while we were passing through. So im not sure how the amenities were, i never used any of them. I thought it was actually on the snake river when i booked it. But its not quite on the river. Lol but it was still a nice stay for the night. The staff was friendly, and the lady at the desk gave me a little stuffed snake for staying at “snake river”. It was cute.

AT&T was LTE with 2 and sometimes 3 bars. Train tracks nearby with loud train noise twice during the night. Because it is a city open park there are people occasionally driving through. No security but there is a camp host. As of Sept 2024 the price is$18 per night.
GuideA bit run down. Picnic table covered in bird poop. Site seemed washed out. Kinda sandy. No firepit or grill at my site. Pub and grill next door for wine, beer and basic bar food, arcade, family friendly. Verizon service was good. Wifi terrible. General store was poorly stocked. The area seemed industrial. Staff was nice. Bathroom was clean.
