Open city bear bone camp site next to Snake River

Nice little gem of a bare bones city camp site next to Snake River. No hook ups. There is a dump site, fresh water and toilets. There is a small boat launch. A few back in sites but mostly just pull next to the side sites with picknick table and fire pit. 16 campsites. Some tent campers. No reservations, just first come first serve. No wifi. AT&T was LTE with 2 and sometimes 3 bars. Train tracks nearby with loud train noise twice during the night. Because it is a city open park there are people occasionally driving through. No security but there is a camp host. As of Sept 2024 the price is$18 per night.

Good spot for a little while.

I found out they have drinking water to refill with. It's right along the Snake River. The only downfall is the tent campers that seem to "live" here. I love that there is a RV dump in the campground. Some spots with great shade.

By the River

A few nice spots right on the river. They have a potable water and a dump station. You need to park and go to the box near the host station to fill out the card and pay. Fairly cheap for a couple nights stay. Only issue was the mowing service was out and about at 6:30am. Luckily we’re early risers, but we just thought it was a little strange.

Beautiful campsite but at a cost

The place was perfect for me to camp one night and the people are really nice that work there. However bug spray is necessary and late at night a lot of homeless roam around the camp. There is also a train depot across from the park that is very loud.

Convenient and Clean along the water

This was a great little stop over Campground. Picnic tables, bbq, and fire pits at each site. A few sites are right along the water and we were lucky enough to snag one - beautiful sunset on the water. Basic flush toilets were clean. There is a boat launch. There is a bike path right from the campground that follows the river and leads to downtown Riverwalk area. Only real complaint was that it has a lot of traffic noise (constant hum) and a VERY LOUD train that went by a few times during the night, blowing its whistle. Light sleepers may not be happy.
