Buffalo Meadows RV Park

Buffalo Meadows RV Park operates as an overflow camping option connected to the Shoshone-Bannock Casino in Fort Hall. The park accommodates RVs up to 60 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections, plus basic amenities like restrooms and showers.

Recent campers report maintenance concerns including overgrown grass and minimal on-site management, with check-in handled at the casino rather than a dedicated office. The facility appears to serve both overnight travelers and extended-stay residents. Cell service proves unreliable in this location, and WiFi availability varies. Campers seeking more options can explore campgrounds near Pocatello about 12 miles south. Consider this park primarily as a utilitarian stop rather than a recreational destination.

Slot casino

Little space between sites, no room for picnics, no lights at night to walk to from facilities/casino

Got a big nope from us

We were booked here and did not stay. It sort of looked like an abandoned RV park, there is no manager or grounds keeper on site. You check in at the casino. The grass was completely overgrown, the park was not well kept and seemed to have a mix of one nighters and extended stayers. Several sites seemed to be housing a lot of people, a few RVs had multiple vehicles parked around them. And there were lots of random vehicles parked along the fence line. No playground, no extras. It was dirty. No cell coverage, no Wi-Fi, which is fine if you’re in the beauty of God’s creation, but this is not that place. This is literally a place to park if you are going to spend all your time at the casino and pray your things are still there when you return. Our credit card was skimmed from the gas station right outside the RV park, as well. And obviously crime is an issue because there was security at each door of the gas station. We left and found a better park. They have only two pictures on their website, that should have clued me in! And I was so quick to leave that I forgot to take any pictures myself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities are available at Buffalo Meadows RV Park?

Buffalo Meadows RV Park offers basic RV accommodations with limited amenities. The park is connected to a casino facility where guests check in, as there is no on-site manager or office at the RV park itself. Sites are relatively close together with minimal space between them, which leaves little room for outdoor activities like picnics. The park lacks adequate lighting at night, making it difficult to navigate between the RV sites and casino facilities after dark. For specific amenity details, it's best to contact the casino directly before your stay.

How does Buffalo Meadows RV Park compare to Fort Hall RV Park?

Buffalo Meadows RV Park generally offers a more basic experience compared to Fort Hall RV Park. Buffalo Meadows has closely spaced sites with minimal room for outdoor activities and lacks on-site management, requiring check-in at the casino. The grounds maintenance at Buffalo Meadows appears inconsistent, with reports of overgrown grass and an overall unkempt appearance. The park also lacks adequate night lighting. For travelers seeking more amenities or a better-maintained facility, Fort Hall RV Park might be the preferable option, though it's recommended to verify current conditions at both locations before making reservations.

What is the location of Buffalo Meadows RV Park relative to Pocatello?

Buffalo Meadows RV Park is located in the Fort Hall area, situated a short drive from Pocatello, Idaho. The park is connected to a casino facility, making it convenient for those wanting to combine casino entertainment with their RV stay near Pocatello. The proximity to Pocatello provides access to additional services and amenities in the city while staying somewhat outside the urban area. For precise directions and distance information, contact the casino directly or check their official website.
