Awesome connection with nature

This was our second rv trip here. Being able to back up to a river, throw in tubes and just enjoy… is something wild. Great location with easy access. Spots are not private, but that doesn’t take from anything. We made friends. The staff was great. The bathhouse was average. Will certainly be back!

Don’t book- no refunds

The camp site they rented us was too small for our RV. We rented over the phone and trusted management to give us an adequate site. Their water and sewer connections were on the site adjacent to ours(not even on our site). When we explained this to management, they refused to refund or credit our stay.

Beautiful park

River Falls at the Gorge is a great private RV park near Tallulah Falls, GA. We stayed 3 nights. Many of the sites have some shade. Some of the park streets are asphalt and others gravel/dirt. Some of the roads are a little narrow but I was still able to easily navigate. The park was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly.

Amenities include: swings, volleyball, horseshoes, playground, pool, arcade, fishing, river.

Stayed in pull-thru campsite #A28 which was somewhat shady but very level, especially front to back. It was a gravel site with grass on either side. There was plenty of parking for my 34 ft TT and truck. Neighbors are very close. The site included: picnic table on concrete. Utilities: 20/30/50A electric on side. Water on side, good pressure. Sewer on side with 4 screw-on fitting.

AT&T had 2 bars of LTE and Verizon 2 bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 12 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 12.5 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up. No WiFi.

Would stay here again, but recommend section B along the river.

River Bliss

Our site is tiny (fully disclosed prior to booking and not all sites are small) but the river is just feet from our windows which fills the camper with peaceful river sounds.

Peaceful & Relaxing Riverside Stay

This campground is great!  All the sites are near the river which provides great opportunities for tubing and fishing as well as the peaceful sound of the rapids.  My family really enjoyed our stay here.  There was plenty to do for everyone, including my 2 sons aged 5 and 7.  The tubing was fun, the pool was great, and the arcade was an added bonus we weren't aware of before staying here.  Fishing was mediocre- don't expect to catch a monster but there are fish and they do bite.

Our site was fairly level and most sites appeared to be so.  Do make sure you read the description well as all the sites are different sizes and not all will accommodate every rig.  We stayed in B-40 and it was quite a distance from the pool and clubhouse so we had to drive there.  The "A" section sites were closer and within walking distance to the pool and clubhouse.  There is also a grass volleyball court in the A area. We also noticed B-41 had a covered pavilion for their picnic table which was nice.   All sites had a picnic table and fire ring.

We are already planning on coming back here, we really enjoyed our stay.  Just make sure you read site description to ensure your setup will fit and read park rules.

Can't Wait to Return

One of the best RV sites in the GA mountains. Love that the sites are all along side the river. Super close to Tallulah Gorge and the city of Clayton. NOTE: some sites are SUPER small, so read the descriptions. Ours was perfect for the 1st 2 days then on day 3 a big family moved in next to us and it was a full day of kids screaming and them running across our site. Needless to say our last day of morning coffee, listening to the river was not as peaceful as before. But, the above will not keep us from returning, just more selective on the sites.

Campsite nice, customer service is not

Views = 5 stars AMAZING

Full hookups = 5 stars

Sites = 4 stars a little too close together and step down to picnic table is awkward

Value = 3.5/4’ish stars needs to be updated a little more and upkept a little more to earn 5 stars

Camp host = 1 star awful experience, never have I been treated and spoken to like that in all of my 20+ years camping. Was going to see about staying an extra day, but they lost that business and any other business for future stays from me and my family/friends. Customer service is a must in this type of business to be successful.

Beautiful, but Cramped

The campground itself was absolutely beautiful. There were lots of sites along the creek, making it even better.

Their website makes the sites look bigger than they actually are. We BARELY fit two small tents in one site.

Campground is pet friendly, but I wouldn't recommend unless you're RV camping. (In fact, this campground is more geared for RV camping.)

All of the sites on our "loop" were RIGHT ON TOP of each other. I mean, bacon cooked outside would probably get grease on a neighboring camper. We aren't big fans of close camp sites, so we weren't thrilled.

Quiet times were not respected while we were there, but we were not bothered. That may bother others though!

Bathrooms were nice!

This campground will be great for some! Just depends on what you're looking for!

Nice Campground on the River

Great campground with plenty of shade. The pull throughs are a little tight, but manageable. The bathrooms are clean and the management is very helpful. Our family loved tubing down the river (make sure to have your own tubes). We will definitely be back.

River RVing at its best

Lots of good RV sites right along the river. Full hook ups in A section and then plenty more around the camp ground that offer all but sewage.
1 video of the gorge which is really close by and a nice hike

Beautiful place

Love this place. Beautiful location. The sites closest to the highway are full hookup, gravel lots and there is a paved drive. Sites that are in the bend of the river are water/power only and the bath house down there is not as nice as the one up front. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is almost every lot is tight and they are not level.

So much fun!!

This place is pretty awesome. Its been around so long my husband came here as a child. This place has multiple types of sites, full hook up (including sewer), partial hook up, as well as cabins and permanent RVs to rent. There are multiple bathrooms, and dump sites, access to the river, and a craft cabin where they have really fun crafts such as tie dye and wreath making. In the morning, a beautiful fog sits over the trees and gives a mystic appearance. We had a lot of fun. A lot of people who go hear have kids and they run free. My son made so many friends.

One of my all time favorites

What a spot. Right on the Tallulah river. Sleep to the sound of the river even in August. The valley is cool at night. The river warmer than you'd expect. Everyday the river changes because of the dam upstream. Sometimes it's almost a trickle and you can venture out on the huge rocks and other times it's almost a whitewater adventure although still safe for tubing Sites are a little tight on the river. Probably 20' wide but still beautiful because of the footage on the river.

Great atmosphere

We camped here June 2020, Had site #12. Great waterfront site with plenty of space behind unit. Sites are a little close together but not the worst I've ever seen. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Tubing the river is great fun and easy to do without leaving the campground. Less than 1 miles to state park although it was at capacity and not allowing more visitor the first day we went due to covid-19. Got in the next day by going early.

We did not use the pool area or bath houses so no comment on those. We recommend this campground and will return. We did have FHU and 30 amp.

Amazing Campground

Our family has camped here 6 times and it never gets old. Located right on the River in Lakemont GA. This campground is in a perfect location next to lots of trails, waterfalls and amenities. The campground itself has an indoor and outdoor pool. A clubhouse, a basketball court and playground equipment. The river is perfect for tubing. It is just a 30 min drive to Helen Ga which is a very popular area for tourism. There is nearby Lake Rabun which also has a recreation area for swimming. Or just a few miles up the road is The Talulah Gorge. A beautiful place to hike, swim and explore. The list could go on for days. The owners of this campground are very friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms are always immaculate. We really can not say enough great things about this campground. So stop reading this review and go book a stay at the River Falls on the Gorge Campground. You won't regret it.

Love the river site

We chose site A10 right by the Tallulah River. Loved the river right behind us. Only complaint was the sewer hook up went uphill to drain. It drained still but very slowly. Luckily there was some logs by it to help elevate the hose. Bathhouse was clean and the river made it all worthwhile. Super close to the gorge to go hiking in the state park.

This is definitely a happy place

I will be the first to admit that I was apprehensive about booking. I had been scouring the internet for reviews, and this place had been recommended to me on a Facebook group. Most of the negative reviews were either old (seemingly old management) or and what seemed to be one off guests, most of whom seem to have their own individual, underlying issues. I decided as a decider, I would call in and see what kind of vibe I got. After all, I’m responsible for booking our first ever family road trip. Luckily, I called in and got Tori on the phone. She was clearly doing something else when she answered, but once she realized I was looking into visiting, she dropped everything and made me feel like I was booking a room in her house. She was interested in my family breakdown so she could help find the perfect spot... and she did a damn good job.

We were only there one night, and she put us in B14. It was right across from the camp host, so firewood was easy to come by. It was also directly across from the bathhouse. We had a 30 amp in our 30’ rental RV, but luckily we had a adapter. The place was empty as it is mid week in off season, which was perfect. While I loved the place, I’m not sure I would have the same experience over 50/75% occupancy. It was great to throw the raft in the river and let the kids enjoy themselves without worry. The river wasn’t very deep, and even provided some small rock slides. The playground was about 5 sites down and also perfect to let the kids run to.

We wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back. If not this week, on our next trip to the mountains. The hospitality of Tori and This true hidden gem are a family memory we will have forever.
