One of the best RV sites in the GA mountains. Love that the sites are all along side the river. Super close to Tallulah Gorge and the city of Clayton. NOTE: some sites are SUPER small, so read the descriptions. Ours was perfect for the 1st 2 days then on day 3 a big family moved in next to us and it was a full day of kids screaming and them running across our site. Needless to say our last day of morning coffee, listening to the river was not as peaceful as before. But, the above will not keep us from returning, just more selective on the sites.
Overall I'm giving 4 stars, BUT I'd give 2-stars for this stay's experience: First, the location to PF Pkwy is great! It's close enough to restaurants and attractions, but far enough from the traffic. The RV resort is clean and estetically pleasing; the sites are close, but I've stayed in closer, so it wasn't that big of a deal. There were 2 TTs in our group and they were able to place us next to each other (that was nice). The bathrooms & showers are clean; the pool wasn't open so can't speak on it. And the check-in staff were very friendly. Here's why our stay was 2 stars: The spots along the fence line are HORRIBLE! The road noise is awful and there's construction on the other side of the road that begins in the early morning and lasts till late afternoon. Leaving your windows open to enjoy the fresh air is NOT an option! Then, someone left their dog inside their camper and it barked all day! I know, the resort, can't control the noise, but it made our stay very unpleasant. I would stay here again, but would definitely ask for a spot in the back of the resort (I wasn't given a choice on spots). I recommend you stay away from any spots along the road.
Stayed 3-nights, staff was very welcoming at check-in. The facilities are clean and the location is close to the local attractions. The spots are very close to each other, so there's no privacy, but it worked for our short stay. I wouldn't recommend any of the spots in the rear as you get a lot of noise that comes from the apartments on the other side of the fence (we stayed in spot 40). Overall, it was nice.
You can't beat the location, walkable to restaurants, a short drive or bike ride to beaches. The park itself is well maintained and quiet minus the days they mow and pick-up the garbage. You will enjoy your stay more if you stay away from the spots near the trash cans (specifically spot 65, avoid this like the plague!). We absolutely loved visiting Bunny & Pirates for live music which is right next door. Would definitely recommend and return.
Stayed 2 nights as we were attending a wedding in the area. Did speak with the front office 2x and they were helpful to include accommodating a spot move (we hooked up in the wrong spot as we arrived after dark). Didn't use any of the accommodations, so can't speak on the them. The spots are tight, so if you're not a season driver, this place might be challenging. We did lose power on the 2nd night and had to go outside in the early hours to reset the breaker. The campsite served its purpose for this trip, but if you're looking for a ritzy place, this is not it.
