Beautiful and refreshing

See about 10-15 deer playing in the woods. It was amazing to witness. The nature photos are a small glimpse of the beauty to behold at this site. Camped in tent and also in a PUP a few times. Will definitely go back again.

South oaks

Very clean 4 separate locations.lot of old mobile home in complex could be moved tore down see lots of cats

We love it so much we got married there!

You will love this campground as much as we do! From the registration process, to the staff, the scenery, tent and RV campsites … SMP is a winner!

Fun for kids

My kids loved the open activities at Jellystone! They bounced on the jump pad, went down the new bounce slide, enjoyed the playground, and the pools. I do wish they had the heaters on in the pool, even though it was hot out, the pools were ice cold.

We were there during superhero weekend and they had activities every hour for the kids! The laundry room was nice, and the trading post had everything you may need from souvenirs to camping supplies.

Our site was long and narrow, easy to pull into for the week we were there.

The train near by is VERY loud though, it comes by morning noon and night.

Nice spot near the water

Easy to find, liked that we were right on the water. There was a nice flat area to set up food, bonfire, chairs, games and to lounge around with family and the dogs. Bathrooms were nice and close to campground, within walking distance.

Simple, pleasant

Variety of sites; primitive, partial hookup, and full hookup.

Laundry consist of a couple of machines. Bathrooms could use some updating, and more consistent cleaning schedule.

Trails are short but pleasant views. Access to boat ramp and lock & dam which is a very popular fishing area.

Trade post runs all during normal business hours. Light snacks, and tackle for fishing.

Views of Coosa river and the mountains in distant is nice. Nights are peaceful here. Weekends are busy with weekenders and fishermen. Two playgrounds one at main park, one next to campsites.

Peaceful and Relaxing

First time camping here and absolutely love it. Very quiet ( you can setup a hammock and take a nice nap) and kid friendly with a nice playground, kept very clean. Probably one of the nicest sites for a small camper.

Absolutely Beautiful!

We stayed for 4 days. The first 3 were sunny during the day and a bit of the chilly side at night. So in other words, perfect camping weather. Day 4, rain but that was ok too. All in all we had a great time!

We loved this campground!!

We booked the campground at the last minute but they were still able to get us in. We met a few of the attendants during our stay and they were all so very kind. Our site was great! Near the water and tons of huge rocks. So beautiful!

Amicalola Falls

The largest waterfall in Georgia and the 3rd largest in the Southeast. They have paid camping and you can also hike the AT trail and find free remote camping.
