We booked site 61 at Skidaway Island State Park for our first trip to Savannah. It was a convenient location for experiencing the low country.
We called ahead because we knew we’d arrive after hours. The staff was helpful and completed the check in process over the phone. She hung out tag at our…

Skidaway Island State Park is a terrific spot conveniently located on the Diamond Causeway outside Savannah. We stayed here for 3 nights and found something fun and different to do each day of our stay. Whether you’re looking to do some hiking, biking, or kayaking on the intercostal, Skidaway has…

Great campground and State Park minutes from downtown Savannah. Great tree canopy, remote hiking trails and friendly staff and volunteers.

My family and I camped here for a week and it was awesome. There's so many things to do from large swimming pool, hot tubs, large lazy river, splash pads for the kids, and many activies daily.
We did not stay here but, we has a chance to go through.... This place is very organized, has everything that you wanted to have. However, we vere not lucky enough to get a spot.
Campsites are widely spaced in this wooded area, with a dirt road entrance. Full hookups worked great, the internet worked fine, the bathhouse was clean and fairly modern. A great place for a day or two to get away from it all, cuz there's nothing nearby.
Our group stayed in pull throughs #84-85 & #86 with lots of room around us. 84& 85 were extremely private. Great roads for our ebikes around the campsites, but not great on the roots along the Big Ferry Trail. Tough going, but made it to the end and found the still, shell ring and old…
This park has a lot going for it. There are some full hookup sites that fill up quick. Our site was a very nice pull through, 30/20 amp electric and water. Plenty of room with a fire ring and picnic table. The roads are rather narrow, but can be navigated with a bit of patience and care. The…
We absolutely loved Skidaway Island State Park. The campsites are spacious, bathhouses clean, and the trails are kept very manicured. It’s a small state park but the perfect size to tuck away for a week. There’s also a Publix that’s easily in bike riding distance just outside the gate of the park…

Its super clean. The tree are beautiful! The hiking trails nice a flat with great views.
This was a nice location for us. There were a few things to do In the campground like hiking on short trails, visiting the fort, fishing. Definitely bring bikes (or rent them at the store) as there is a causeway from the campground to store/fort that is kind of long if you are waking back and…
My girlfriend and I learned about Little Tybee Island while spending the day in Savannah on a road trip (we were moving to Illinois from Florida). We learned about it around 2pm; by 5pm we were on the water. We forgot to bring a lot of things in our rush, but the island was fantastic. To get to the…

RV Site was great and very close to lots of things
Restaurants, shopping, parks, beaches
Cute shop on RV Campground
Not a lot of privacy
We stayed here for three nights in March. Beautiful private sites, moss covered trees and great hiking trails in park with nice nature center and little store. The sites along the outer road near road back to a golf course. Avoid if you don’t want to wake up at 6am to power tools, very loud power…
We were there in April and there was a ton of gnats that would swarm the RV and the bite! It was cool to see the Civil War stuff but it does have a separate fee. We also had an issue with the site numbered strange and had to move. The section we were in the sites hadn’t been mapped out yet.
