Great first trip

My husband and I live in Winter Haven Fl and just bought an RV and wanted to open it up and get it ready for trips but didn't have room at our house so we camped local. This was the closest we could find. Let me tell you this is a great camp ground for trips to the area. We will recommend them to…

Well maintained mostly full time park

Nice, clean, well maintained campground. Lots of people living here full time. There are plenty of great places to eat or drink within 20-30 minutes drive. We came when the area was experiencing a 50 year flood, so access to most of the area was greatly hindered. We would stay again, but only…

Could use improvement

Stayed here for a month, upon getting there attendant saw my dog and kinda snarky with the rules. Expect the water to just shut off on you early in the morning every other day due to maintenance. No one cleans up after their dogs and the trash cans/dumpster is always full. Sites flood pretty bad.

Beautiful Campground

Our favorite so far. These sites are beautiful! Concert pads and large grassy areas on each one Most had shade trees. Only 27 sites. The bathhouse was always clean. Ranger Arron was very nice and helpful! Alot of jeepers camp here. Lots of clay roads to ride on. We'll definitely go back!

Nice but wet.

This was a very nice swimming and paddle boat park on the Hillsborough River when I was a kid.As a family we visited many times. Now everything is closed down except camping, hiking, canoeing if you bring your own. But still a nice place to camp. Better if not during rainy season here in…

County parks

We love State and County parks. This is our favorite county park it is very clean and close to restaurants grocery stores. It has a nice spring to swim in. Several sites are on the river.

A Hideaway

First of all, locked gate. You have to make a free reservation to get the combination. I camped at the primitive side. At the fork bare right then immediately turn right. You'll see the Port-a-John. Port-John was clean with TP. But who doesn't carry TP with them. The grass needed to be cut, it was…

Large RV Park

Didn’t meet much of the staff but those we did encounter were pleasant and friendly. There’s a lot of parking and the roads can be fairly confusing. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back in a few weeks!

Hot- and review spot prior to accepting

Overall great facilities. The only issue ( and a big issue) is our camping spot backed up to a main road with little to no privacy. Felt like we were camping next to a busy Highway. Not all spots are like this but ours was..

Spacious camp sites!

We loved the large sites. And pretty private. Wooded areas between sites. Nice clean restrooms and showers. Only 2 showers in the ladies bath house. It's old but clean. But it's sapose to be no pets. And a camper near us had a very large dog in a cage that barked all day. Very annoying. Bad area…

Little Villages - lots O Rules

Upon arrival during evening hours, your greeted by a gentleman with dementia, who will have you up a tree if you can't drive your rig.

If at all possible, DO NOT PAY BEFORE learning the rules; and there's lots.

Despite what your told over phone, or in person, don't bet on it. Your assumed…

Great Location

Very friendly and helpful staff! The park is small, parking is crammed, and there’s a lot of older trailers but overall it’s a great location. This is our go to location when we have appointments at Bay Pines VA!
