We stayed two nights hoping to see the space shuttle launch. We were unable to since it was postponed but the ladies at the front desk were very nice. They allowed a late check out just in case the shuttle did launch. The sites were large however had a lot of ruts. The grounds were not very well manicured although there were people working to try to freshen up the place. We saw debris being loaded into trucks and someone was painting the fence. This place has a lot of potential. The town of Cocoa was lovely.
Large park although it was only half full when we arrived. We stayed a week. Friendly, helpful office. When we arrived we were guided back to our site and we were offered help backing in. There were a lot of full timers living in the park and I have to say many of those sites looked run down. But overall a nice, clean park with lots of activities to join in.
This was a nice small RV park, the grounds were well manicured. We had no contact check in and no contact with management at all during our entire stay. Upon arrival we grabbed our packet off the front porch and slipped our check into the door slot. We were given a code for the security gate however it was never locked. Overall it was a nice stay although there was one issue. While we were out for the afternoon the groundskeeper used a leaf blower around our campsite moving our furniture and not replacing it. When we came back we noticed our furniture in disarray and at first thought we had a break in. Leaves, dirt and debris were all over our rug, chairs, table and grill. We were scheduled to leave the following day so I’m not sure why this clean up couldn’t have waited.
This is a big county park over 600 acres. We could only get reservations for two nights since there was no availability. However this was my favorite ever park to camp at. The campground is tucked in the back of the park. There’s numerous walking/biking paths and a terrific dog park with lake access. The park is very clean and well-maintained. I wish we had more time to explore this lovely, serene park.
This is a gigantic park with so much to do for families. My husband and I and our dog were there for a week over Thanksgiving holiday. Our campsite was perfect. It was under the trees and spacious. However we were on the main road and there was a constant flow of RV traffic the entire time. The facility was full, which I think can handle 1800+ rv’s. But for families this is a perfect park especially being so close to the beach. Just too busy for us. Also for this size park I would have liked more areas to be able to walk the dog on grass. The park was very clean and the people were friendly.
If I could I would rate a 4.5. Small, clean, quiet, friendly, reasonably priced RV park. We loved walking to the dock on the property where you could see the sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed visiting Fort Macon, Patsys pond national Forest, Shackleford Banks and the beach. The facility was well maintained. We did not use the bathhouse. We stayed for a week and would’ve loved to have a laundry facility on site. It was nice to see the owner, as well as other employees drive-by and asked if there was anything we needed. Most of the sites are occupied by full-timers. Overall it was a very nice stay.
This was a last minute reservation since what we originally had reserved didn’t work out. We were expecting something nicer especially with how pricey it is here. Sites were very close. The site was part Gravel and mostly mud/grass. There was trash on site. It appears that most of the people here live full-time. The driveway was dirt/gravel with a lot of holes. Nearby road was very busy with a lot of traffic noise especially early in the morning.
People in the office were very nice and accommodating.
This is our first ever campsite with our new RV. It was a nice experience. Everybody was friendly. We had a large pull through lot with our 36 foot fifth wheel. Friends had a tiny lot with their shorter camper. They had no privacy. The sites were wooded and there were so many leaves all you could hear was leaf blowers throughout the day. Campers were blowing piles and piles of leaves along the road. Not sure what the policy is but I feel that the facility should clean up the leaves. It’s a good spot for kids.
