Grandkids first real camping trip

My wife and I took our 2 grandkids on their first real camping trip. They had a blast. The campground people were extremely nice, the pool was nice and clean, the camp site was nice and big enough for our larger tent and the bathhouse wasn't to bad either. Plus we weren't that far away from the beach and water. The grandkids keep asking when we are going again.

Crammed

We did a tent site. Which was mulched? Yes mulched.  Talk about having to keep an eye on your fire before it spread to the mulch.  Very packed! Campsites we’re right on top of each other, thought I was going to hit someone’s car door with my truck door.  We ended up leaving 2 days earlier to go elsewhere.  Guess what no refunds.  Which we left anyways.

Insulted

The campground itself was not too bad, although sites were crowded and not well manicured. Mixture of full time and vacationers. What i could not get over was the blatant display of confederate flags flying on campground poles and a huge display of items for sale in the store. I read reviews that this is their heritage and this is why they display the flags. This is no longer acceptable. As I read in an op-ed recently.....the Confederate flag was waved by opponents of the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s. Anyone who continues to display the Confederate battle flag is implicitly saying they adhere to the social theory that Black people are inferior to white people. And this is why i will never return or reccomend to anyone. I am not ok with this display.

Dirty in more ways than one

Dirty bathrooms, check. Tight quarters, check. Confederate flag license plates, check. Confederate flag t-shirts, check. Baby’s first confederate flag onesie, check. If I could give negative stars I would. As my son said, “what’s with all the flags? Take the L, losers.”

Large campground, close to beaches

This campground is large and spots are close together and crowded during summer beach weekends. The owners are wonderful, the facilities are well maintained. They even have security at night - you can't get in without a parking pass. Close to the beach, state park, the outlets and a great bike path . Note, they only accept cash, but ATM is close if you forget. Worth a visit if you want a beach vacation.

Family Owned and Operated

This is a favorite of mine because the owners are awesome. The facility is well maintained and they do not put up with drama. In past 10 years I have always felt safe and protected. Swimming pool is wonderful !

Nice family campground

We stayed here for two nights during a three day trip to Rehoboth beach. Very reasonably priced and had a lot for the kids to do. It’s a short drive to the beach and close to the major road with all the restaurants and stores. Pool and bathrooms were well maintained. I would stay here again if in the area.
