Nice Beaches and Marina

Nice park and amenities, full hookups on the peninsula. Could use more shade less fee's. It gets busy on weekends. Close to the Topock gorge.

Horrible campground

The drive up is beautifully landscaped and for $81 a night, we had our hopes up Instead we found probably the worst campground we’ve ever been to in our 30+ years of camping. Filthy, dirty and horribly run down. Their website advertises a water play park and we saw two family’s try to get it to work only to find that the water was turned off over 2 years ago. They squeeze you in so close together that there is zero privacy. Plan on staying inside your rig the whole time. For the filth, lack of maintenance and misleading advertising I wish I could give them negative stars but I can’t. Oh, and for the privilege of staying in all the dirt, dust and mess we got to pay $81 a night NON REFUNDABLE. We had booked and paid for 5 nights. We stayed 3 nights and left.

Loud and Chaotic

This “resort” was overcrowded, loud and packed with off-road vehicles. Unattended children were recklessly running in front of vehicles dangerously while their parents were getting drunk at the bar.

The back-in spots are paired with 3 parties and they are basically on top of each other. There is no privacy or space. You might as well be sleeping in each other’s RV.

There were so many ATVs and vehicles that I couldn’t get into the campground site. It caused my vehicle to get stuck in the sand. Instead of helping, the resort takes no liability for that and they make sure you know that. Security have a “3rd party” come get you out when it’s clearly an off-the-book employee who knows the staff personally.

This is NOT a campground to have a campfire, a drink with friends by the river and enjoy the view.

The pirate life for me

Full pirate themed and completely well kept. Nothing out of place in this massive resort. Pirates cove has the softest sand I have ever stepped foot in, Crystal clear river water, and plenty of fun things to do. They have RV, camping and cabins available. Nice restaurant that offers curb side pick up! Do you want food delivered to your boat? Well they do that too!! Wanna have fun on a pirate boat... Well guess what... they have that and plenty of rentals for you and your family. Docks for your boat are also available. We went when it wasn’t summer hectic and was nice more of an off season but still well kept and enjoyable.

Beach & Water & Sand

The RV spots are full hook up and on dirt / sand....and right next to the water. You typically share a beach with three other RV sites though we had the beach mostly to ourselves during our stay. My six year old daughter (still learning to swim) was able to enjoy the water as it didn’t get deep until you were about 10 feet from the bank.

Downside is that you have to watch out for fire ants (red ants). Not sure if it’s true for all sites but was definitely true for the RV sites at site 10. Also, if you don’t get an A slot (we were in slot 10C) you will have to look at your neighbor’s poop pipe when hanging outside you trailer. Last, it’s all sand. And that sand is going to get everywhere.

Next time we go, we will definitely go for an A slot and bring a large outdoor area rug. We will also bring a canopy or tent so we can have some shade while hanging out on the beach. Last, we’ll bring more stuff to do out in the water.

As far as COVID goes, this is a great getaway if you pack right for it and are looking to just hang out on your own beach (or if you hav’em or are rich enough...bring/rent an OTV or boat) and just hang out in/around your camper.

Loved it!

So many things to do. We brought the RZR, and some boats. The weather was great, campsites were great, and the private cove is always perfect for all the friends.

So full of tourists it might as well have been Disneyland

We got stuck here on a pass down the Colorado River due to severe wind for a night. The only redeeming thing about this site is that if you wake up for sunrise you will be rewarded with stunning colors.

There is a water fun park, bars, and RV campers surrounding you as well as reeds on all sides of the water so it makes it difficult to work on any water skills in the outlet.

On the river!

Always a joy to camp here. We camp on the Peninsulas. Full hook ups minus cable. Get your very own beach to play on. Leave your water toys at your beach.

Beautiful beach

We camped with a group out on one of the points for some good off roading. LOTS of nice trails to go, lots of desert to cover. Some sand, some rocky areas, a nice assortment. When we came back we would hang around the beach. They had a nice store where you could buy almost anything. A nice bar and restaurant, with good food. The only complaint I have is it was a little pricey. $70 a night, granted full hookups, but a little high.

Fun themed park!!

What a fun place for you and your kids! Lots of River activities and ATV trails. If you don't have the toys, they have all types of rentals available for purchase (1/2 day and full day increments).

The cottages were beautiful, the on site restaurant was huge and inviting! There are tent sites, RV sites, and boat docks.

I have T-Mobile, and didn't receive any signal while I was there.
