This campground is very close to downtown and beaches in San Diego. I paid $36 a night for electricity and water hookups plus my pet. The showers in the south loop aren’t great, definitely bring your shower shoes. The north loop has nice showers. There are coyotes so be careful with your pets. I…

My wife and I stayed here in early May 2021. This was our second time at Paso Picacho after visiting here a few years ago. We were even more impressed this time around. I can't say enough about this place. The grounds are serene and well kept, the atmosphere is relaxed and most of the campers were…
Was able to score a site that fit our 28’ trailer- joke was on us... there was NO way it could’ve worked, not to mention there was not a single other trailer, only tents. Headed back to the ranger and they gave us an open disabled spot (we have a placard) in the horse camp. It was AMAZING. Large…

We stayed 1 night, loved the quick walk to the beach.
The resort is nice, about what you expect for space at an urban resort.
We went during the pandemic, so we were unable to take advantage of all that the resort had to offer.
We came on a sunday in February and the store was closed nor did we have interaction with any staff, was rather quiet and we loved it. The camp sight was nice and bathroom facilities clean. Had alot to offer at this location.
Nice camp ground. Get there early it is busy. Nice showers and water.
This is actually a trailer park with a few campsites
The Pala RV park is a very nice and well kept location. Full hookups on what looks like every spot. 30/50 amp, water, sewer, and cable available on all spots. A few spots have grills that allow for charcoal grilling, but not all. Propane fills also available on site. Amenities like restrooms…
Found this spot after being turned away from lake Moreno campgrounds. Plenty of room for our trailer and enough space between sites to feel like we were alone out here.
We stayed a little longer than a month and enjoyed how accessible everything was from this location. It's also a great home base for exploring up to Malibu all the way down to San Diego and every place in between. Carlsbad Village is just a few miles away and there is great ice cream and Handel's…
Beautiful location. Quiet and picturesque. Easy to find. Great place for base camp with several trail heads. Campsites are spacious with plenty of shade. Secluded from you neighbors. Clean bathrooms and showers.
Lots of sounds and sites to explore!! The spaces all had water and fire rings with tables. Bathrooms and showers were decent and relatively clean...showers do cost 25 cents for 2 minutes!
