Campground was clean , quiet and a little bit of a hike to the lake.
We loved the Coloma Campground. There were lots of amenities, group areas, large grass are by the river, lots of trails, cabins, a short walk across the bridge to the gold rush park and a great little restaurant for coffee and small plates.

Clean campground, friendly hosts, all the amenities you could need while enjoying time spent not too far away from the greater Sacramento area. Tons of trails nearby and perfect for boating and water sports! An all around win!
The sites here are super close together so be prepared for that.
The water and electric are at the very back of very looong spaces so you May need an extension, depending on how close you want to be to your neighbor.
Sites 1-4 are walk in, the rest are drive up. All sites are right on the riverbank. Gold panning is popular here. Quiet campground with the relaxing sound of the river.
Out of all of the campgrounds around Lake Oroville and within the state park rec area by far Bidwell is THE best..it's clean, it has cell service plus wifi if you need it, pets are ok, 2 to 3 boat launches, spots to fish, great showers and bathrooms plus the park rangers that run this specific…

The groundskeeper is very friendly and takes great care of the land. There was plenty of parking space, picnic tables, and a large fire pit at the group site. The river is beautiful. The only con is this campground is right off of a road, so you hear and see cars traveling by.
I went with our 2 grandsons and daughter. Last minute book on 106d super hot day. The place was great and. The pool a lifesaver. This was an old. Koa. Yes lots of longtermers, but clean and super nice. People lent us there floaties and even offered to get us drinks!. Bathroom s still need…
Poor hookups, no sewer, roads not paved, dusty. Extreme fire hazard with only one way out
• Large croup camp site with lots of flat places to pitch a tent. • Clean pit toilets. • 3x Bear food and 4x trash/recycling bins. • 2 (or 3?) water spigots • 4 big picnic tables • Some shade • Uneven terrain around sites and lots of fallen trees • Lots of parking, including triller/RV parking.…
This was my first camp out spot ever. I called ahead and made sure they would be okay with me sleeping in my Outback. They said it would be okay as long as I had the gear to sleep outside in a tent as well. The place was quiet and we had no issues. I just suggest getting there early enough so you…
The road up was brutal, definitely recommend 4x4. Took us about 40 minutes to get 3 miles on the dirt road that ascends the mountain. The campground itself was CLOSED due to hazardous trees (risk of them falling) so we just drove half a mile past woodchuck and camped in the woods near the road.…
Loved this site 21. So huge and shady almost all day. A health walk to the lake with a large sandy beach. Lake had a lot of boats on it but mornings and evenings you have it to yourself. Dogs welcome at this campground.
