Ghost Mtn

This resort is part of Colorado River Adventures and is private. Very nice park with everything you could need. People in sales are nice too and not pushy. We didn't become members, but really like this resort in Pollock Pines.

Nice little campground and clean lake

We arrived Monday and the campground was almost empty. Every site around us looked reserved but no one was there. The place is small and sites are tight. So if you happen to be there on those days it’s packed I would think you will not have any some sort of privacy at all. But because our timing…

Convenient - which is good and bad

This campground is super convenient - not more than a 3 minute drive from Highway 80 on a well paved Eagle Lakes Road.

The campground sits directly below Highway 80... as in, you can look up and see the cars from some campsites, and hear the cars from many campsites. Multiple high power lines…

Nice campground and great boating reservoir

Overall the campsite was great and well maintained. The sites are mostly level but RV parking is *tight*. While the space was long enough for our 35 ft trailer and truck the pad was narrow and there are a lot of rocks to maneuver around. We were barely able to open our slide and drop the stairs…

Great lakefront spot!

Our favorite camping spot! We like to book the group site a few months in advance, as we can usually fit a trailer or two and a few tents without feeling too cramped. The group site at gate 2 is close to flush toilets without being *too* close. This park is listed here as "first come, first…

A favorite place

Peaceful and quiet with lots of trees. Laundry and showers. Great place for dogs. Hiking and lakes nearby. The owners are really nice people that will assist you when help is needed. They do not put up with those that break the rules.

Nice experience

Took my wife here for her first backpacking trip. Was over all a great experience. Went at the end of June . The lake is shallow in some areas with white sand . It got a bit windy at night and the mosquitoes were gone by the morning but mosquitoes do love hanging out by the water. Cool spot to stay…

Super detailed and clean

We camped in site #20 and did not need to level the trailer! There are logs lining the roads and the campsites. There are stones circling small plants. There are bear boxes at each campsite and also bear poles for hanging food. There are fire rings and also bbqs at each campsite. The whole area was…

  • The site has a table, a bear box, a bear pole, a bbq and a campfire ring.

Happy place

Dry camping with space between sites. Great for kayaking and tents. Some sites require high clearance vehicles. Beautiful views.

Mean people suck!

We checked in and had reservations but it’s a first come first serve sites! They have different sections that cost more… the closer you are to the river, the more it will cost. It ranges from $5 to $20 bucks more a night. They say NO saving sites but people do and if your new to the campground it’s…

Rude staff that yells at you

This is a beautiful spot. Unfortunately it's a Forest Service location that's run by a private concessionaire who runs it like a prison. They staff literally yelled at my family. They have a lot of rules, which is fine, but when someone breaks a minor rule, for example talking quietly after 10 PM,…

Beautiful and serene

Campground was situated nicely with perfect trees for our hammocks and bathrooms were tidy. Beautiful hiking within minutes of the campground with gorgeous views of the lake and boulders - and even waterfalls! There’s no cell service and no services at the campsite so pick up firewood from the one…

VERY well-maintained family campground, with sometching for everyone!

More family oriented than “upscale,” what struck me was even though it maintains a substantial trout fishery, the surface tempin early June was z74 — PERFECT for swimming, tubing, etc.

Although the lake level is sadly representative of CA drought conditions, fishing was good. We caught 7 rainbows…
