Great time “glamping”. Close to home with all the amenities!
We've stayed at Newport Dunes many times, and it's great for a last-minute beach vacation especially when most state beach campgrounds are booked out way in advance.
There's a nice bike trail that circles around the bay, which is great for kids. Also, lots of amenities for families, including…

Ok, so it is just a parking lot, but they do it well! Little tufts of fake grass (real on one side, none on the cheap spots) with full hook ups. Nice bathrooms and hot showers with laundry on location. Good amount of space between sites. Very short drive or 20ish minute walk to Disneyland.…
Must have military clearance to rv here
The staff are helpful and nice, be aware that office hours are 9a-5p. Laundry closes at 9pm. Pool needs a separate key (they gave us one on arrival) get a deluxe site if you can. The standard sites are essentially a large parking spot in a paved parking lot. The deluxe feel more like an RV site…
Awesome beachside bar and grill.

I wake up Saturday morning throw some ice in the chest. Grab the sunblock and towels. Put the family in the Cherokee and off we go for a relaxing day by the sand. No need to stop and get ice or food. The beachside bar and grill takes care of all those low blood sugar needs. With a site store…

This place is amazing! We've stayed twice and loved it. The beach front sites are definitely worth it. The other sites are very small and tightly packed. We played on the inflatables in the bay and everyone loved it. Adults and kids alike. People are friendly and the park is well maintained.…
All the bells and whistles are available at this resort RV park including renting an RV on site. The location is great located right on the bay with lots of walking/bike riding trails, a beach with kayak rentals, and walkable to many restaurants (although Newport isn’t really a walking town). This…
If you like to camp on a dirt patch in VERY close proximity to neighbors, surrounded by chain link fence(!), then you may enjoy this place. For us, no way. Super expensive and not at all worth it. I would have rather slept on the side of a road. This is not what I consider camping.
This one is to die for when it comes to kayaking
I really like this close to home campground as it is very beautiful and near the water
We aren’t used to staying at RV resorts like the Newport Dunes, but it was a fun change of pace.
We typically camp in our 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia, but it broke down on our drive to Death Valley National Park so renting a cottage here at the Dunes was a great plan B while the Van was…

Gorgeous little lagoon off the bay. Even the furthest sites were only a five minute walk to the water while carrying our kayaks and paddle boards. Decent bathrooms. Nice market, snack shack and bar.
Perfect spot to stay in central orange county. Nice amenities. Clean bathrooms. well functioning rv hook ups. Everything worked as planned. Interesting mix of short term and long term guests. Clean and well maintained.
